‘And I did that really well… it was like Risky Business for ten years.’
Bateman has also told GQ magazine that it was hard being a child actor.
‘This business, to a young kid, is kind of a mind-f***,’ he shared with the publication.
That’s a big reason why I generally advise parents against letting their children work as actors.
He explained that as a child, he taught himself to imitate others. While this didn’t cause schizophrenia, he believes it hindered his natural process of discovering who he truly was – a crucial part of growing up.
The famous actor concluded by saying he felt unprepared to deal with a difficult time in his life.
