D4vd’s music executive is grilled over why he didn’t call the police during grand jury probe over Celeste Rivas murder

A person who works in the music industry faced tough questioning on Monday as part of the grand jury investigation into musician D4vd and the death of Celeste Rivas.

In November, Los Angeles police detectives identified 20-year-old D4vd as a suspect in the death of a teenager.

I still can’t believe it. They found Lil X’s friend, Rico Rivas, dead inside his Tesla in Hollywood on September 8th. The police said it was one of Lil X’s cars, the one that had been impounded. It’s just… awful. I’ve been following Lil X for years, and this is a nightmare. I just keep replaying it in my head – his friend, in his car… it’s devastating.

Robert Morgenroth manages the career of the artist known as David Anthony Burke and also runs a touring company that arranges travel plans for musicians.

According to TMZ sources, Morgenroth spent all day Monday testifying before a Los Angeles grand jury about the case.

Daily Mail has reached out to Morgenroth and reps for D4vd for further comment on the story.

TMZ reported that the manager was questioned about why he hadn’t called the police, but it wasn’t initially obvious what he would have reported them about.

According to reports, Morgenroth and his attorney spoke in the courthouse hallway where others could overhear their conversation.

Morgenroth told his lawyer that Beth Silverman, the Deputy District Attorney, had been quite aggressive during the questioning.

I heard that Morgenroth told his lawyer he’d explained to the prosecutor that he didn’t think it was his place to get the authorities involved, though exactly what situation he was talking about wasn’t clear at the time.

Morgenroth explained to his lawyer that he didn’t believe it was his job to handle that, according to reports.

According to reports from the outlet, Morgenroth told the grand jury he simply wanted to proceed with the tour.

According to TMZ, a music executive testified that prosecutors were carefully building a case against D4vd.

According to a law enforcement source who spoke with People magazine last month, detectives believe D4vd probably didn’t act alone in cutting up and getting rid of Rivas’s body.

According to a source who spoke with People magazine, D4vd hasn’t been fully cooperating with the police investigation. This is despite a previous statement to NBC Los Angeles from his representative, who said he was fully cooperating.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been keeping an eye on rising star D4vd! He dropped his debut studio album, ‘Withered,’ earlier this year, and he’s been busy taking that music on the road with a tour. It’s been amazing to watch his career blossom!

In 2023, he put out two EPs – Petals to Thorns and The Lost Petals – on Interscope Records, the label that signed him in September 2022.

As of Tuesday afternoon, D4vd hadn’t been charged with any crime related to the disappearance of Rivas, who was last seen in May 2024.
