The investigator looking into the death of a young woman found in the trunk of D4vd’s abandoned Tesla has shared new information about disturbing items reportedly discovered in the singer’s rented Los Angeles house.
Police found the remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez on September 8th inside a car owned by 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, who performs as D4vd. The remains were badly decomposed.
Rivas disappeared after leaving her home in Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024, and had been missing for over a year. She would have celebrated her 15th birthday the day before her body was discovered, though authorities believe she died some time ago.
Nine days after the body was found, detectives investigating the murder searched the $4.1 million Hollywood Hills home where Burke was living. They confirmed the search was connected to Rivas’s death and that they took away several pieces of evidence.
After the search of his home, Mladen Trifunovic hired private investigator Steve Fischer to find out if Gabriela Rivas had ever stayed there and, if so, when she was last there, according to the Daily Mail.
Since then, Fischer has been carefully reviewing security camera recordings, talking to people in the neighborhood, and thoroughly searching the property for any evidence. He had mentioned finding several unusual objects inside that didn’t seem to have any everyday use.
In an interview with the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Fischer explained that investigators found several large, robust tools and pieces of equipment that wouldn’t typically be found in a residential home in the Hollywood Hills—more like what you’d expect to see on a farm.

He noted that one of the items was still in its original shipping box, suggesting it had been delivered recently.
He wasn’t sure how these objects might affect the bigger picture, if at all, but said their appearance was odd. He also confirmed that the Los Angeles Police Department has been informed.
I’ve been following this case closely, and I was really struck by what Alex Fischer said in his recent interviews. He described the things found on the property as truly disturbing – he actually used the word ‘sadistic’ – and suggested they could be used to harm or even get rid of someone. He brought up these concerns again just yesterday, and it’s incredibly unsettling that he feels so strongly about it, even without going into further detail.
Investigators also found prescription pain pills and drug-related items inside the home. The private investigator reported that everything else appeared normal.
Neither the LAPD nor an attorney for Burke have responded to requests for comment regarding Fisher’s statements.
The cause of Rivas’s death is still unknown, as officials are waiting for results from the autopsy and toxicology tests. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the death, but currently isn’t classifying it as a murder and hasn’t identified any suspects.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely, and my team and I have uncovered some interesting details about the home. It seems Burke wasn’t living alone. We found personal items – clothes, toiletries, and other belongings – suggesting multiple guests were staying there regularly. We discovered these items in the guest bedrooms, nightstands, and even the bathroom cabinets, indicating it wasn’t just a quick visit from time to time.
None of the female effects appeared to belong to Rivas, he said.
Fischer has no proof that Rivas ever entered the house. He says a neighbor reported seeing the girl sitting on the curb, seemingly waiting to be let inside.
Police haven’t found any evidence linking Rivas and Burke, but they are still investigating. According to sources who know the girl, the two had a secret relationship that began online when Rivas was between 11 and 12 years old.
People who know her say they last spoke to her around late June or early July. However, Fischer insists he has evidence showing she was still alive as of January 5th, 2025.

Fischer has been carefully reviewing surveillance footage to understand the Tesla’s last known path and figure out when Rivas likely died.
He shared with the Daily Mail that the video clearly shows the muddy, dented car was last driven on July 29th, and the driver’s face is visible. He’s identified the driver but isn’t releasing their name.
The vehicle was parked at the corner of Doheny Place and Blue Bird Avenue and was towed away in early September.
According to Fischer, Burke was in Los Angeles when the car was relocated. He then left for San Francisco that same day to begin his Withered World Tour with the first performance.
He explained that the video, along with evidence from the house, suggests the singer relied on a close group of people he trusted.
Okay, so apparently there was this really small group – like, two or three, maybe four people tops – who seemed to basically live with David. They were super close to him, like, always around. It’s just… it’s fascinating to think about who got to be that close to him, you know?
Once the news came out, everyone involved began unfollowing each other on social media and removing any pictures or posts that showed them together.
It appears several people may have had access to the Tesla, and that’s what I suspect happened.

When Rivas’s body was discovered, Burke was performing in another state. After her identity was made public the next week, he discreetly canceled the remainder of his world tour.
He hasn’t spoken publicly about her death, and it’s unknown if he’s assisting with the investigation. Burke hasn’t been charged with any crimes.
In their most recent statement, the LAPD indicated they weren’t certain if anyone committed a crime other than hiding Rivas’s body.
More information has come to light regarding the months before Rivas was last seen in April 2024.
Police were called to the home of missing woman Rivas in Lake Elsinore, California, a total of 33 times – 11 times before she disappeared and 22 times after, according to records obtained by the Daily Mail.
Sources said Rivas had a troubled home life and had run away multiple times.

According to police reports and social media posts, she initially ran away on Valentine’s Day in 2024, leaving a note for her family. She was reported missing that same morning. Over the following two days, deputies visited her home multiple times while her family shared flyers and online alerts about her disappearance.
She did eventually come back, but it’s not known exactly when. According to friends who spoke with the LA Times, she was distressed by all the media coverage surrounding her disappearance.
However, she disappeared once more by March 19th. Police checked on her home three times that day, and a video published by TMZ seemed to show her walking near her street, past a liquor store, and heading towards a dark car that wasn’t fully visible in the footage.
Rivas was reported missing again on April 5th, and police investigated several leads throughout the rest of April, including a report about something potentially suspicious. Later, people in the area told the Times they had seen her return home sometime later in the year.
A TikTok video posted by a relative in June seems to show Rivas at a local barbecue, but the exact date it was filmed isn’t known.
In the following nine months, police responded to the same house over a dozen times for reports of problems like fighting, damage to property, and alleged attacks.
Burke’s current whereabouts are not known.
Records show he recently transferred ownership of two properties he owns close to Houston, Texas, to his mother.
