Recently released surveillance video shows the teenager who was later found dead in singer D4vd’s Tesla, but the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.
On September 8th, the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was found inside a Tesla owned by 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, a social media personality.
A 13-year-old girl was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in May 2024. Sadly, her remains were discovered shortly after her 15th birthday, though authorities believe she had been deceased for a while.
TMZ has obtained security camera footage of Alyssa Rivas from a few weeks before she went missing. The video shows her walking down a street in Lake Elsinore at around 7:00 AM on March 19, 2024.
The video appears to show Rivas, identified by her family, wearing a black hoodie and white pants.
Another angle shows Rivas jogging around a corner before disappearing from frame.
Security camera footage from a nearby liquor store captured the incident. The store owner, Elie Naddaf, shared the video with the Rivas family and confirmed this wasn’t the first time the teenager had run away from home.
He said he often saw Rivas come into his store to ‘buy soda, chips and gum.’
Police had previously stated that Rivas had a history of running away from home and came from a difficult family situation.
Before authorities revealed Rivas’s identity, her mother shared with TMZ that she thought her daughter was seeing someone named David.
Police are still investigating how a teenager was found in the trunk of a car belonging to the 20-year-old singer.
Investigators found a disturbing discovery after responding to a Hollywood tow yard. They were investigating a bad smell coming from the front trunk of a Tesla Model Y that belonged to Burke.
Inside, they found Rivas’s dismembered, severely decomposed remains wrapped in plastic.
Police searched the Hollywood Hills house recently left by D4vd, looking for bloodstains potentially connected to the remains of a teenager.
It’s currently unknown what investigators found when they searched the home. Last week, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson stated that ‘several items of evidence’ were taken for testing.
The department hasn’t released any new information about the investigation. They haven’t made any arrests and haven’t identified any potential suspects.
A department spokesperson told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that they have no new information to share, but the investigation is still in progress.
The spokesperson declined to comment on whether Burke is cooperating with investigators.
The singer was away performing on the US leg of his Withered World Tour when Rivas’ body was found.
Someone on Burke’s team said the singer was helping the police with their investigation right after the body was discovered. But once the remains were identified as belonging to Rivas, Burke’s team stopped responding to inquiries.
Burke’s planned world tour was canceled without any public announcement, and he has since hired a lawyer who hasn’t made any comments about the situation.
Investigators are currently working to determine the time and cause of Rivas’s death. They are also trying to understand what happened between her disappearance in May 2024 and when her body was found sixteen months later.
According to her family, May 4th, 2024, was the last time anyone saw Rivas. Her brother, Matthew, stated she went to a movie with someone named Burke and hasn’t been seen since.

Online investigators have discovered what appears to be an unfinished demo of a previously unreleased song by Burke, called “Celeste_Demo unfin.”
It’s not yet confirmed if the song is real, but people who’ve heard it say it was recorded by Burke in December 2023. The lyrics specifically mention someone named Celeste.
According to Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor, the evidence against Burke is already very strong, and she’s surprised he hasn’t been arrested yet, according to the Daily Mail.
Burke, meanwhile, has yet to publicly acknowledge the discovery of Rivas’s remains in his car.
His Tesla was found abandoned for several days close to Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue, not far from the house he was renting.
People in the neighborhood had previously reported seeing the car around town over the last few months.
The vehicle remained in its last location for approximately three weeks. Before that, it had been parked a few blocks away as early as late May, according to the report.
Burke and his representatives have not returned multiple requests for comment.
