Cynthia Erivo wowed fans with a striking photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar, where she posed topless.
The 38-year-old star of Wicked looked absolutely stunning in a series of photos for her first magazine cover.
She also talked about how Jada Pinkett Smith has been supporting her as she deals with the challenges of being famous, figures out who she is, and prepares to play Elphaba in the new movie.
Cynthia graced the cover of the November issue, striking a confident pose in just sheer black tights and delicate heels. She went topless for the shoot, creating a striking and memorable image.
In another shot, she caught the eye in a plunging black gown that showed off her toned figure.
Cynthia turned heads in a delicate, see-through white dress with silver accents, worn with a matching thong underneath for coverage.

She first wore a striking black and white ruffled dress, then changed into a beautifully tailored pink and white one, looking fantastic in both.
For her last outfit, the actress wore a playful look featuring a gold bodysuit and a mask that hid her face.
Cynthia recently shared with a magazine how she deals with the challenges of being famous, especially since she achieved stardom later in life.
The actress has had an incredibly successful career, earning an Emmy, a Tony, and a Grammy award. She’s also received three Oscar nominations and two BAFTA nominations, a level of achievement few performers reach.
Cynthia credits her friend Jada, 54, with helping her remain authentic. She views Jada as a close sister.
Jada told the publication: ‘I’ve been checking in on her a lot.
It can be really challenging to adjust to fame if it happens quickly and unexpectedly.
Being a queer black woman, Jada has helped remind Cynthia of what’s important.

She emphasized the importance of self-belief and inner strength. It’s crucial to nurture your own truth, recognize your own value, and avoid relying on others for validation, as that can be a harmful pattern.
Despite finding fame later in life, Cynthia explained how she feels ‘fully myself right now’.
Last fall’s release of the first part of ‘Wicked’ greatly increased her popularity, and hosting the Tony Awards earlier this year took it to an even higher level.
She explained the significance of simply being herself – a Black woman with her natural skin tone – on mainstream television, not as an actress playing a role, but as the host.
Through her distinctive look, Cynthia hopes to inspire self-acceptance in others.
She shared that if she could leave one positive impact on the world, it would be helping everyone recognize and appreciate their own unique beauty. She believes people shouldn’t feel pressured to change themselves to please others, but rather embrace who they are for their own sake, and that would bring her joy.
‘If you want to change and you want to get a new nose, you want to get new lips, fine.
‘If that’s good for you, then that’s good for you – as long as it’s for you.’

This fall, Cynthia is releasing a book called Simply More. The title comes from a speech she delivered when she accepted a GLAAD Media Award earlier this year.
Even after publicly coming out in British Vogue in 2022, the actress used her speech to support people who are still private about their identity.
Even in their peaceful isolation, their choices represent a quiet defiance and are worthy of recognition.
I was saying that those of us who have found our way – who are confident and sharing our knowledge – should turn our attention to helping those who are still searching for direction.
She’s particularly passionate about discussing people who use they/them pronouns and their ongoing struggle for basic respect.
Cynthia emphasized her book is not a memoir but rather teachable moments from her life.
The actress also talked about her next big movie, Wicked: For Good, which will be released in theaters on November 21st.
As someone who’s seen many actors move on from iconic roles, I completely understand the need to eventually say goodbye. This actress beautifully expressed that while her character, Elphaba, will always hold a special place in her heart, it’s important for her to create some distance and move forward with her career. It’s a healthy step, even when a role feels like a part of you!
‘We’re not one and the same anymore, but we can be friends.’
