Cyndi Lauper’s SHOCK Glastonbury Confession!
Cyndi Lauper has finally spoken up about her performance at Glastonbury, following the incident where sound problems occurred and a large number of attendees chose to leave.
71-year-old singer of “The Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” encountered severe audio problems during her performance at the renowned Worthy Farm festival in June 2024.
At the festival, attendees found it difficult to appreciate her usually stunning vocals due to the overpowering bass that seemed to muffle her voice.
Now, she’s spoken out for the first time to The Sunday Times, discussing the hardship she experienced, expressing remorse for the events that transpired.
She told the publication: ‘I couldn’t hear the band and that sucked. I wanted to be really great.’
Cyndi disclosed that the experience influenced the scheduling of her forthcoming farewell tour, admitting that she desired a grand send-off.

Cyndi expressed: “I’d like to bid farewell with a grand gesture. You see, there’s a skill in remaining stationary while singing, and that’s not a talent I possess.
I’m unsure about how much longer I can maintain the quality of performance that I believe is appropriate.
During her performance at Glastonbury, it appeared that Cyndi had some difficulty maintaining the right pitch and rhythm while singing “Rocking Chair.
The sound issues appeared to have been resolved by the time she got to her hit I Drove All Night.
However, during the performance of “Time After Time” from 1984, it appeared that Cyndi struggled slightly, seeming to trail behind the band. This hinted at potential difficulties she might have been experiencing with her ear monitors.
During her performance, the singer glanced at members of the backstage crew stationed near the Pyramid stage, while still entertaining the audience.
As the audience joined in with their voices, they helped lift Cyndi aloft while singing her most popular songs, True Colors and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
Regardless of any challenges that arose, Cyndi, boasting over four decades of theater expertise, maintained her professional demeanor flawlessly.

‘So I don’t know how long I’m going to be able to do the kind of performance that I feel is right.’
In October, the renowned American pop icon embarked on her final tour, which came about 11 years following her She’s So Unusual: 30th Anniversary Tour.
By February 2025, you can find Cyndi in the United Kingdom, where she has scheduled performances in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Belfast.
The tour will then continue onto Budapest, Lodz in Poland, Prague, Berlin, Dusseldorf and Paris.
The artist behind “True Colors” hits is expected to have some notable companions joining him on tour. These guests will be revealed as we get closer to the event.
The news follows the premiere of Cyndi’s documentary, “Let The Canary Sing,” which showcases her journey to stardom at age 30, that aired exclusively in the United States and Canada on June 4.
Overwhelmed with excitement and pride, I couldn’t help but immortalize my admiration for the incredible documentary and tour by leaving my treasured hand and footprints at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, Los Angeles. It was a dream come true to be part of Cyndi’s enduring legacy!
At the premiere, she was accompanied by her sister and Sharon Osbourne, while Cher and Bebe Rexha attended the ceremony with her.
