Cyndi Lauper moves up a spot in most recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vote
2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vote is certain to see a group that sweeps from start to finish, and that group looks set to be Phish. The dedicated fanbase, affectionately known as ‘Phishheads’, have not only taken the lead but significantly influenced the band’s induction prospects. In fact, it might even be worth considering inducting these devoted fans along with the band; they are one of music’s most loyal and passionate fan bases.
As a passionate gamer, I can relate this scenario to my gaming achievements. Finishing among the top five in a tournament, even if the competition seems insignificant at first glance, carries weight. Each player’s votes are combined into one collective ballot, which joins thousands of others to determine who gets recognized or not. Interestingly, in 2024, every gamer who made it into the top five was ultimately inducted.
As a fan, I can’t say for sure that the top five nominees will make it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year, but it definitely gives me hope! The official announcement about the inductees for 2025 is expected to be made in late April. Don’t forget to cast your vote before April 21st!
Cyndi Lauper fans should be happy with latest 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voting results
Over the past seven days, some significant shifts occurred. Last week, Bad Company, currently holding the second position just behind Phish, widened its gap from third-place Billy Idol. Meanwhile, this week saw Cyndi Lauper climb up to the fourth spot, while Soundgarden fell to fifth.
Over the past week, the voting trend for Soundgarden fans has become more tense as Joe Cocker experienced a significant increase in votes. Last week, he was trailing Soundgarden by 6,000 votes, but now the gap has narrowed to only 4,000 votes.
Essentially, if you’re a fan of Chris Cornell’s music and his bandmates, take a moment to cast your vote online. You’re allowed to do this every 24 hours, until the voting period concludes.
