CS2’s July 22 update revolutionizes Dust 2 for the CT side

After the recent CS2 patch notes, which were published on July 22, Dust 2 will undergo significant changes at all levels of play – professional and amateur alike.

An update to the crate stack in Dust 2, located outside the CT spawn area, provides CTs with a new route to Catwalk without relying on a boost. This simple adjustment significantly alters CT gameplay, enabling them to approach Mid more freely and aggressively.

For the terrorists, however, planning an attack on Catwalk requires greater caution since it’s likely that one or two counter-terrorists will be present to guard it during each round.

The timeline for when the update will be implemented in the professional esports circuit by BLAST is still uncertain. With just six days left until the start of the BLAST Fall Groups, there would be limited time for teams to adjust if BLAST decides to introduce the update.

In addition to updating Dust 2, CS:GO’s patch notes include announcements about clipping modifications on Nuke and the addition of the PGL Copenhagen Major trophy to the Steam profiles of the winning team members, such as Justinas “jL” Lekavičius.
