jkaem claimed accountability and apologized to everyone involved in the skin fiasco.
In a recent turn of events, professional gamer Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad acknowledged his mistake and promised to make amends for the skins he owes, following an exposé on X platform. For more details about the jkaem incident and his subsequent response, check out this article.
jkaem owes over USD$11,000 in skins
The post revealing jkaem’s actions was shared by user @erls lsan. According to his account, he loaned valuable game items (skins) to the professional player last year during the Paris Major. After a year of making excuses, telling lies, and being dishonest, erls lsan felt there was no other option but to make this information public. He stated that jkaem allegedly gambled away the loaned items.

Erlsan estimates that the two skins borrowed are worth around USD $11,000; one is a Welcome to the Jungle M4A1-S and the other is a Wild Lotus AK-47 skin.

The conversation featured snapshots of their private messages. He mentioned having numerous other chat transcripts with this professional player, who would often ignore him for extended periods ranging from weeks to months, and repeatedly lie, delay, and deceive him.
Following his warning to disclose information, he ended up paying Erlsan $1,000 USD. Notable figure in the Counter-Strike skin scene, Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff, was similarly implicated.
After hinting at a public reveal, he actually paid Erlsan a thousand dollars. Known as a key player in the Counter-Strike skin community, Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff was also brought up in this context.
Back in January, Jkaem owed me some cash and I figured he’d settle up eventually, but I’ve grown tired of waiting now. He didn’t seem too bothered about the distress he put me through, only when his reputation was on the line. So, I’m going to tweet about it, even if it means I won’t see a penny from him.
@erlsan on X
In response to erlsan’s post, zipeL stated that “[jkaem] paying back a minimal sum following the potential exposure of the issue suggests he’s involved in much more than merely this situation.
jkaem responds: “I was an idiot.”
After Erlsan’s post, about an hour later, I hopped onto my own gaming platform to address the accusations head-on and take responsibility for any missteps.
It appears that Erlsan had debts or obligations to more than one party, as suggested by the discussions on this thread. He mentions collaborating with his current organization, BC.GAME, to resolve these issues and repair any damages.
He expressed his apologies for exploiting others, acknowledging that he was entirely at fault. He admitted that he needed to face the consequences of his actions.
