Group stage

This stage is pretty forgiving, as three out of four teams can advance to the Playoffs.

  • Group A: It’s a death group for Passion UA. Seeing these underdogs winning over the CS2 esports monsters would be really surprising.
  • Group B: TYLOO are in danger here. paiN Gaming could be the only hope for the Chinese team to grab one win, but it would still be about a stroke of luck for TYLOO.

Revenge and the test of power

The demanding schedule for professional CS2 teams currently involves playing in tournaments back-to-back with just two days of rest in between. This quick turnaround adds pressure and makes competition even more exciting.

Revenge opportunities

Man, I was watching IEM Chengdu 2025, and FURIA totally crushed Vitality in the finals on November 9th. Now, these two teams are in the same group for BLAST Rivals Fall 2025, and you can bet Vitality is hungry for a rematch after getting swept 3-0. They definitely want to get that loss off their chests!

  • Spirit have a lot to say to The MongolZ, who did not let them enter the Playoffs in Chengdu. Being in one group is pretty convenient for this revenge.

Proving the power

  • Falcons still need to prove they are capable of winning big tournaments. With roster changes, this team has yet to achieve a grand final victory. At IEM Chengdu 2025, Falcons defeated MOUZ, alright — but that was a third-place match.

  • The MongolZ certainly want to prove their true power. Their results dropped substantially, starting from ESL Pro League Season 22. The CS2 Esports World Cup 2025 victory was the peak for The MongolZ, and they certainly want to climb even higher.

  • FURIA are on the rise, and it feels like they would like to prove that their win at IEM Chengdu 2025 is not a random spike in the tournament performance.

  • As for proving the power, paiN Gaming definitely need to do this. They had really good results, like the top 4 at the Austin Major, but the organization decided to skip a few tournaments — something related to keeping CS2 VRS points to qualify for the next Major. This strategy shouldn’t cost the tournament form, though.

As a huge Counter-Strike fan, I’m already counting down the days! It feels like just after BLAST Rivals Fall 2025, we’ll get to see the end of the competitive season with the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, which is happening from November 24th to December 14th. I can’t wait!
