In this post, we’ll delve into the intricacies of gear crafting in Nuverse Games’ Magipunk-themed action MMORPG, Crystal of Atlan. Regardless if you’re a swift Elementalist or a formidable Scytheguard, having the optimal equipment is vital for survival and conquering dungeons. This article will walk you through the essentials of gear crafting, covering the steps to unlock it, all the way to dismantling unwanted items.

Crystal of Atlan Gear System Overview

In the thrilling world of Crystal of Atlan, I, as a seasoned gamer, get the exciting opportunity to shape my own destiny through the heart of the game: Gear Crafting. This core mechanic allows me to design not just any gear, but useful ones that can make all the difference between victory and defeat. Whether I’m delving deep into dungeons or simply exploring the vast landscapes, the strength and durability of my equipment will determine how far I can go. The crafting system is cleverly split into two sections: Gear Crafting and Item Crafting, each offering unique challenges and rewards for the discerning adventurer like myself.

You can construct these items in two different ways: either by collecting materials at Glenn’s workshop or by assembling existing items with Epic Shards. Regardless of the method you choose, you will be able to make strong equipment such as Sleeper’s Flex Armor, Defender’s Cane, and other powerful gears.

Where and How to Craft Gear in Crystal of Atlan

After finishing Chapter 1 and Glenn’s quests, you’ll soon have the ability to create gear. Upon completion, your character will be transported to Rhine City. In this city, Glenn’s Workshop, located at the center of the map, will become accessible. To start crafting gear, simply talk to Glenn in his workshop.

On the left side of this menu, you’ll find suggested equipment tailored to your current level and subclass. The required materials for these items are listed on the right side. If you’d like to see all available gear, simply press “Gear List” located at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Additionally, items are labeled with a tiny tool icon, indicating their current status. The absence of the icon suggests that item can’t be crafted and should be found elsewhere. A gray hammer symbol indicates that you have the recipe but lack necessary materials, while a green hammer means you can craft it whenever you want, as you have all the required materials. I find this system very helpful in tracking your progress.

A convenient aspect is that if a required material isn’t available, you can simply click on it and then tap the blue arrow at the top of the tooltip. This allows you to discover where to obtain them, such as Elite stages, Adventure maps, or unique exploration areas. Additionally, you can immediately access these locations directly from the menu.

Gear Types and Set Bonuses

In terms of what you can create, you have the ability to fashion a variety of equipment categories such as weapons, headgear (helmets), chest armor (breastplates), leg armor (pants), handwear (gloves), footwear (shoes), neck adornments (necklaces), forearm guards (bracers), belts (rigs), and advance to items like Seals at level 50, Talismans at level 55, and Relics at level 60.

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve found that outfitting my character with a complete set of gear doesn’t just make them look cooler, but also grants additional perks. These passive abilities kick in depending on the class I’m playing, and they can really come in handy when I’m trying to conquer every stage in this adventure. Each type of gear boosts different stats or skills, so it pays to choose wisely!

Where and How to Craft Items in Crystal of Atlan

In Glenn’s Workshop, there’s a crafting station where you can create numerous handy items such as Advanced Spare Parts, Catalysts, and Double Potions. These items boost your capabilities and aid in enhancements.

With an upward trend in your crafting skill, you’ll find a higher probability of recovering materials following each creation process. Essentially, as you expand your crafting capabilities, the system becomes more economical and resourceful, making it advantageous for you.

Additionally, you can create not only Radiant, Stellar, Time, and Netherlight Circuits but also blueprints of these items. Each circuit type is available in different rarities. As you advance in the later stages of the game, these circuits and blueprint items become increasingly important as they aid in further enhancing your equipment.

How to dismantle Gear and Items in Crystal of Atlan

Dismantling Gear

With each step forward, you’ll accumulate a wealth of equipment quickly. To manage excess items, consider breaking them down, as this efficient method not only clears your inventory but also provides extra resources such as Spare Parts or materials for upcoming enhancements.

In this case, choose an item you don’t need, then click on the ‘Dismantle’ option from the gear menu. A window will appear, enabling you to deconstruct items based on their quality level. Additionally, you can decide whether to dismantle items one at a time or in groups by selecting specific tiers such as ‘Normal’, ‘Fine’, ‘Rare’, and ‘Epic’.

In this system, items are categorized into tiers such as Normal, Fine, Rare, or Epic. Each category yields specific components: Spare Parts from Normal and Fine items, Rare Spare Parts from Rare items, Advanced Spare Parts from Exquisite items, and Advanced Epic Shards from Epic items. Therefore, it’s essential to dismantle the items according to their tier for the appropriate rewards.

Dismantling Items

As a fan of Gear, I’ve discovered an intriguing aspect: not every crafting material is derived from gear alone; some can be obtained by dismantling specific items in your inventory instead. To achieve this, simply tap the backpack icon and proceed to the last tab. From there, you can select any item that catches your eye. If it’s suitable for dismantling, a More button will appear with the option to Dismantle it. Enjoy exploring this new method!

You’re able to take apart items such as Hyper Engravings, which result in Zeroing Engravings, Magitrium transforms into Magitrite Particles, Random Vouchers convert into Catalysts, and so forth. Additionally, you can also deconstruct Weapon Blueprint Fragments into HexChess Desirium, among other things.

Selling Items via Trading House

Additionally, you have the option to swap items acquired through events and dungeons with fellow players or friends for Gold. Instead of a direct exchange, you’ll need to list the items you wish to trade in the Trading House. You can use the earnings from selling your surplus items to purchase materials for crafting superior ones.
