As someone who keeps a close eye on what’s trending, I’ve always admired artists who are truly open in their work. But Cruz Beckham surprised everyone recently! While talking about his new song, he shared something a little unexpected – it wasn’t about his feelings, but something totally different that caught everyone off guard.
David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son has quickly gained a large following of his father’s fans after releasing his first single in 2025 and then touring the world with his band, The Breakers.
The 21-year-old musician celebrated the release of his new single, “Waste Your Pain,” on Friday by posting a photo of himself shirtless on a Miami pier.
Cruz posted this after mentioning he got badly sunburned while in Florida, a state where the Beckhams often spend time thanks to David’s ownership of the Inter Miami soccer team.
Oh my gosh, you guys, he finally posted a photo! And… okay, it’s a little worrying, but he admitted it! His neck and chest are SO red – like, seriously red – and he said it hurts! I’m freaking out a little, but honestly, even looking a bit sunburned, he’s still… perfection. I just want him to be okay! I’ve been staring at the picture for like, an hour.
Cruz revealed the important lessons his parents taught him, and also playfully shared details about his relationship with girlfriend Jackie Apostel.
Someone asked him in a social media Q&A what the most valuable advice was that each of his parents had given him.
After finishing a recent tour of the UK with his band, The Breakers, Cruz shared some advice: be a good person to work with, constantly improve your skills, and always be kind.
People following him online shared some fun photos from a 2025 vacation, showing him wearing both Prada pants and blue Speedos.
A fan jokingly asked Mario Cruz how someone could be named ‘Bulge of the Year.’ Cruz responded by saying that was a question for Jackie Apostel.
A fan asked the singer if his mother, a former Spice Girl, had any tattoos. He replied that she used to, but doesn’t anymore.
When asked about his first album, Cruz indicated it won’t be coming out anytime soon.
He said: ‘I don’t know anymore, but songs coming consistently.’
His latest song, created with his band The Breakers, is about loving yourself, accepting who you are, and making a fresh start.
Justin Raisen and Lewis Pesacov produced “Waste Your Pain.” They’ve also worked with artists like Kim Gordon, Joji, and Charli XCX.
This new song follows Cruz and The Breakers’ successful first UK headline tour, where they performed at smaller venues throughout the country, culminating in three shows at London’s Courtyard Theatre.
The London Standard gave the shows a four-star review, describing Cruz as playful, charming, and clearly talented.
CLASH praised the band, describing them as promising and focused on the music itself. They highlighted the raw energy of their performance, noting a lack of excessive production or artificiality, and a genuine sense of personality and future potential.
Okay, seriously, this guy? He’s not just good, he’s amazing. Metro said it best – he’s totally going to be a rock star, I just know it! He’s got the voice, he shreds on the guitar, and the best part is, everything he does feels so natural and genuine. It’s not like he’s trying too hard or anything, it just is. I’m telling you, remember this name!
