Cruz Beckham, 20, releases VERY explicit new single about drugs and sex amid Jackie Apostel, 30, romance

Cruz Beckham might have some awkward conversations with his famous parents after they hear the lyrics in his new, rather explicit, song called ‘Optics’.

David and Victoria Beckham might be surprised by their youngest son’s new music, as he just released two songs hinting at the sound of his upcoming album.

Unexpectedly, the new single from the 20-year-old artist, titled ‘Optics,’ explores mature themes of drugs and sex. This release comes as he’s dating Jackie Apostel, a 30-year-old who also collaborated with him on the album, including its cover art.

He sings about taking many self-portraits in bed, while he’s experiencing a psychedelic trip. The lyrics also express enjoyment of both hallucinogenic mushrooms and intimate connection.

Oh my god, the chorus just gets me. It’s like, ‘Always be iconic, never lose that high, don’t let life bring you down!’ But then it hits different – it’s not just about looking amazing, it’s about feeling that power, you know? I need to know what that feels like, to truly live it. It’s everything!

His new single, ‘Lick The Toad,’ takes a different approach than his previous work, focusing on themes of nature rather than suggestive lyrics.

In the chorus, he repeatedly sings about wanting to experience the fullness of nature, using playful and informal language to express his connection to it.

Beginning his career in small, unglamorous venues like The George has given his first album a genuine and relatable feel.

Cruz has also collaborated with Luke Pritchard, the lead singer of The Kooks, who helped him write the song.

The new album features songs like “Waste Your Pain,” “Optics,” “John Lennon,” “Tie Don’t Fit,” “For Your Love,” “Yeah Yeah Yeah,” and his well-known track, “Lick The Toad.”

After a long wait, Cruz has finally released his first single, ‘If Every Day Was Christmas.’ He originally shared the song in 2016, and all the money earned from it went to charity.

Okay, so last December, he dropped ‘For Ya Love,’ and honestly? People were saying it was even BETTER than Oasis! I mean, can you BELIEVE it? I knew he was a genius, but to be compared to Oasis… it’s just incredible. I’ve had it on repeat ever since, and I totally agree!

The rising musician is getting ready to launch their new release with a string of small, personal shows, including one at the famous George Tavern in east London.

I was absolutely thrilled to see Beckham perform! He and his band set up on this cozy little wooden stage and played some of his newer stuff – songs like ‘Optics,’ ‘Caroline,’ ‘For Your Love,’ and even ‘Lick The Toad.’ It was a really special set.

He addressed the audience, saying he was deeply touched by their presence and wanted to express his gratitude for everyone coming out that night.

Oh my gosh, I was there, and let me tell you, Cruz was a little shaky at first, you could tell he was nervous! But the second he really started performing, the entire crowd just exploded! It was insane, everyone was going wild for him. Seriously, the energy was unbelievable!

It’s obvious he’s been listening to Oasis all summer. He sings well, plays guitar, and writes songs that stick in your head.

They compared his music to popular bands from the 2000s like The Kooks and Kaiser Chiefs, and described his style as ‘catchy indie landfill’ – meaning it’s memorable but perhaps a bit formulaic.

Okay, so nobody from his famous family showed up to his first performance, which honestly, good! Apparently, he really wants to make it on his own merit, you know? He doesn’t want anyone saying he got a leg up because of who his parents or whatever are. He wants to earn it all himself, and I totally respect that! It just shows how dedicated he is, and makes me even more of a fan!

I was so thrilled to hear that his girlfriend was in the audience! She actually shared on social media that she was moved to tears when he started playing – it just shows how special this moment was for both of them, and how much everyone was rooting for him.

‘Safe to say I did not keep it together,’ she said.

I was absolutely thrilled to see his latest show! He posted on Instagram afterwards, and it perfectly captured the night. He’s just quietly honing his skills, really enjoying himself, and constantly improving. What blew me away was that everything – all the songs, the playing, the singing – was all him! He completely killed it, and I just wanted to tell him how much I love his dedication.
