Crossfire: Legends is a fast-paced, first-person shooter game where players compete against each other. Developed by Level Infinite, a part of Tencent Games, it features several different ways to play. One popular mode is Mutation, which pits you against waves of mutants in exciting battles. This guide will give you the best strategies and advice to help you succeed in Crossfire: Legends’ Mutation mode.

Crossfire: Legends Mutations Mode: Overview

Mutations Mode is a fast-paced, thrilling game where you fight mutants and try to survive. It includes both Terminator and Hero modes. At the start, you have a short time to find a safe spot. Once the timer runs out, some players become Mutants and start hunting everyone else.

Terminator

In the game Terminator, two groups – the Black List and Global Risk – team up to eliminate mutants and infected humans. Each round begins with some players randomly becoming Mutant Hosts. If a Mutant attacks you, you become infected and transform into a Mutant yourself.

When only one or two players remain, they become Mutant Hunters. To win, those hunters need to survive until the round ends. Before the match, you can select a random map or choose from specific locations like Resort, Excavation, Dawn Village, or Zone 13.

Hero

I’m really excited about the Hero mode! Basically, a random hero character will join your squad, which is awesome. They’ve also added a Morale system – the more mutants you take down, the bigger attack bonuses you get! And the best part? We still get to play on all the same maps we love.

Tips and Tricks to win matches in Crossfire: Legends Mutation Mode

Here are a few simple but key strategies to help you succeed in Mutation Mode.

1. Relocate tactically before the countdown ends

Okay, so at the beginning of each round, I always try to quickly find a good spot – usually somewhere high up or a narrow space. It seriously makes a difference! Being up high or in a tight spot makes it way harder for those Mutants to get to me, and it gives me a clear shot to take them down. I’m a rooftop guy myself, honestly, because it feels like the best way to stay alive.

2. Try to team up with other humans

Traveling alone increases your risk of attack from the mutants, so it’s best to stay near other people. Working together will help you defend yourselves and give you more firepower to fight them off.

3. Try to do consistent damage to gain damage bonus, not don’t just panic shoot

Don’t panic and just shoot randomly – it won’t help. Instead, focus on aiming for headshots to do more damage. If you’re running low on ammo, either switch to your melee weapon or quickly move to a safer spot to reload.

4. Choose the right Mutant types and split the humans

If you start a match as the Mutant, don’t just charge straight at the humans. Instead, try to sneak around and spread them out – this weakens their attacks and makes it harder for them to work together, which will make it easier to infect them. Choosing the right Mutant type and using its special abilities is key to success.

5. Use your mutant utilities and attack from multiple angles

Each mutant has unique abilities, like powerful grenades or the power to become invisible, so use them to your advantage. Try using these skills first to create an opening, then coordinate with your fellow mutants to attack from different directions – humans tend to focus their defenses on a single point.
