As someone who has spent decades following the lives of Hollywood stars, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy for Paul Hogan, watching his youngest son Chance’s struggles unfold in the public eye. Having witnessed the highs and lows of many a celebrity family, I know too well the unique challenges that come with fame – the relentless spotlight, the constant scrutiny, and the heartache that comes when one’s own flesh and blood becomes entangled in it all.

It is reported that Paul Hogan is deeply concerned about his son Chance Hogan, as more images featuring his youngest child keep appearing.

The 26-year-old was recently spotted looking dishevelled as he loitered in a back alley close to his Crocodile Dundee star father’s lavish Venice Beach home.

Chance’s online behaviour is also becoming more erratic.

More recently, he posted an odd video where he ominously hinted at something starting while displaying his swollen gums to the camera.

As reported by New Idea, friends close to the family claim that Paul, at 85 years old, appears worried or concerned due to his son’s lifestyle choices.

According to the source, Paul finds himself in a difficult position regarding what to do next. One possibility is returning to Australia, but he’s reluctant to part ways with America at this time.

Essentially, they find themselves in a state of prolonged uncertainty, which is deeply distressing for Paul and extremely difficult for his companions to bear witness to.

They mentioned that as Paul has grown older, he has become less active and more vulnerable, which makes it harder for him to handle Chance recently.

They expressed, “It’s long past due for that child to organize himself and stop causing his father undue worry. After everything kind and helpful that Paul has done for him, it’s only fair…

But the insider claimed that Chance is ‘his own worst enemy’.

The report comes just a day after Daily Mail Australia shared shocking images of Chance looking dishevelled in a back alley, taken on November 14.

He seemed to wander aimlessly along the street, occasionally stopping, before eventually making his way towards a car with tinted windows, which was parked close to the house where it’s thought he resides with his father.

Although Daily Mail Australia doesn’t imply any unlawful actions took place, these images are likely to stir further concern in his father’s mind following a series of questionable occurrences.

In September, concern was once more expressed by Chance, the son that Paul shares with his ex-wife and acting partner Linda Kozlowski, as he posted a troubling video on social media.

He posted disturbing footage to Instagram, ominously claiming something is about to ‘begin’.

Instead of his usual appearance, Chance seemed almost unrelated with his long brown hair, sporting blue sunglasses and holding a cigarette between yellowed teeth, revealing what looked like swollen gums.

‘It’s only just begun,’ Chance said in his first video as he gave the camera an exaggerated smile.

I took a set of snapshots from a balcony overlooking LA, enjoying some tunes and soaking up the city’s vibe.

In one picture, he was depicted grasping a beer, which appeared to serve as an ashtray, while a multitude of extinguished cigarettes filled the ashtray before him.

In his second upload, Chance seemed troubling because he seemed to be counting down towards an unspecified occurrence for his followers.

‘One hour and 25 minutes, 24 minutes now in fact. That’s when it commences. Let’s see,’ he said.

As your trusted lifestyle guide, I must share an intriguing observation: The definition of ‘beginning’ appears to be a bit hazy right now. In the wake of the latest video he shared on Instagram, there seems to have been a pause in Chance’s usual posting routine for several hours.

Previously, Chance was seen in March on an unusual excursion with Paul in Los Angeles, only a few months following his hospitalisation in October 2023.

During their recent excursion, Paul shared with DailyMail.com that his youngest child is significantly improving after having to visit the hospital unexpectedly.

A few short months ago, Chance posted a troubling video on Instagram where he was visibly injured with cuts and bruises.

Paul has four sons, Brett, Clay, Scott, and Todd, and one daughter, Lauren, with his former wife Noelene Edwards, whom he divorced in 1986, after being married for 25 years.

In 1990, he married his Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski who he shares Chance with.

The couple divorced in October 2013.
