DC Studios is planning to regularly feature Captain Atom, a character who first appeared in DC Comics’ Captain Atom #1 in 1987. This version, named Nathaniel Adam, is a former Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He gains superpowers and is accidentally sent forward in time. He possesses a range of abilities, including flight, super strength, and invulnerability, all fueled by a unique energy source and protected by a metallic coating. He can also absorb energy, create matter, and utilize other powers related to nuclear energy.

Currently, it’s unknown who will portray Nathaniel Adam, also known as Captain Atom, when he joins the DC Universe. Captain Atom is one of DC’s strongest heroes – his powers are even greater than Superman’s, who was long considered the most powerful being on Earth.

Creature Commandos Season 1 marked the beginning of the new DC Universe from DC Studios, and it’s been picked up for a second season.
