Courtney Stodden poses nude in bed to honor Marilyn Monroe on Hollywood icon’s 99th birthday
Courtney Stodden has stripped off her clothing for a very specific reason.
As a devoted admirer, I’d describe a scene where a 30-year-old reality TV personality was completely unclothed, lounging comfortably on her bed in a sideways position, with her loyal companions, the two dogs, nestled beside her.
On Mondays, she elegantly adorned herself, letting her golden locks cascade freely, while flashing a warm smile with her eyes shut, for her Instagram post.
On what would have been the 99th birthday of my beloved role model, the iconic Marilyn Monroe, I found myself paying a heartfelt tribute to her timeless charm and enduring legacy on June 1st.
In 1949, the same provocative pose as the one seen in the movie “How To Mary A Millionaire,” was struck by the actress, during a photo shoot on velvety red fabric, for photographer Tom Kelley.
On the 4th of August, 1962, Marilyn Monroe passed away at the age of 36 due to a reported barbiturate overdose in her residence located in Los Angeles.
For decades, people have questioned if her death, initially deemed a probable suicide, might actually have been a homicide.
Monroe, originally known as Norma Jeane Mortenson, was a renowned sex symbol during the ’50s and ’60s, best recognized for her roles in movies such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes from 1953 and Some Like it Hot from 1959.
Born Norma Jeane Mortenson, Monroe became a well-known sex symbol in the ’50s and ’60s through iconic films like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) and Some Like it Hot (1959).
Or even more casually:

Stodden added a sweet note.
‘Happy 99th Birthday to the iconic Marilyn Monroe,’ she began.
A woman, a blend of beauty and intelligence, found herself bound in matrimony at sixteen. Escaping those bonds, she persisted – yet the shadows of her earlier life continued to linger. Yet, she persevered, time and again.
Through grit and poise, she battled against discomfort, stress, and judgment from the public eye. Marilyn was more than just a shining star; she was a warrior. She serves as an enduring symbol of women’s strength, power, and indomitable spirit. Her legacy continues to touch our hearts and inspire us.
Following Courtney’s heartfelt revelation about her poignant tale of a teenager bride, shared on our 14th wedding anniversary, here is my perspective as a dedicated follower:
After the moving disclosure she made about her heart-wrenching experience as a young bride on our anniversary, I couldn’t help but be deeply moved by Courtney’s story.
She’s openly shared with DailyMail.com that marrying Doug Hutchison, who is 65 and known for his role in ‘A Time to Kill’, was a mistake, and she has no intention of pretending otherwise.
In 2011, she got married to Hutchison, then aged 51, at a Las Vegas wedding venue, having turned only sixteen years old.
She shared that the emotional distress lingers for her, and she refuses to remain silent,” she told DailyMail.com, also mentioning that Doug had been emotionally abusive.
Next, the speaker expressed: “My voice is my strength, and for each voice suppressed, I’ll raise mine even louder. I will no longer seek approval to act justly. From now on, I advocate for that hidden girl inside.
Stodden stated: ‘I’m living independently and navigating my path now. I’ve dealt with everything that life has thrown at me so far. I’m robust, adaptable. I’m finding my way back. No one will mute me again.’
She aims to aid others: ‘I’d like former victims and survivors to deeply access their inner strength. Indeed, we possess an immense power within us.’

She has also called Doug a ‘groomer’ who had control over her body, and finances.’
Since Courtney was still a minor at the time, her parents were required to approve the marriage due to legal reasons. As she reflected on the experience, Courtney explained that the quickness of the Vegas wedding left her unable to fully comprehend what was happening because she was only 16 years old.
Stodden acknowledged the 14-year anniversary of her married to Doug.
14 years past, a 16-year-old girl entered a realm that sought to shatter her. Persistently tormented, ridiculed, advised to extinguish herself. Assaulted. Crushed. Drowned in agony she didn’t invite.
‘But she survives…
Today serves as a profound lesson: Our identities aren’t shaped solely by our past experiences – they’re molded by the resilience born from those trials. It’s about our capacity to rise above. It’s about safeguarding the courageous spirit that dwells within us, fearlessly and unreservedly.
I’ll make sure no one silences her ever again – I rise each day for her, I battle for her, and daily, I assert my strength on her behalf.
‘To every woman reading this: you are not alone. You are not broken. You are becoming.’
She encountered extensive criticism from the media and was branded variously as a ‘young bride’ and an ‘immoral woman’ due to her marriage with a man who was 34 years older than her. This public judgment took a toll on her self-perception and emotional wellbeing.

After that, the pair made an appearance in numerous reality television programs including Couples Counseling, Big Brother VIP, and Hillbilly Hollywood.
This statement was made shortly after Stodden posted a message discussing her return, highlighting her resilience and determination, following the public controversy surrounding her teenage marriage over a decade back.
Stodden’s note to her Insta Stories was powerful.
The text starts by saying, ‘She’s regaining her composure… Observe her,’ initiates the narrative. ‘Despite all the challenges in her life, she has shown incredible resilience. She is diligent, robust, ambitious, and tenacious. She is authentic and faithful.’
Anyone who fails to appreciate her unique contributions should not be part of her journey. She is becoming more aware of her self-worth. She is charting her own path and reclaiming herself.
Last month she talked body shaming as she has been trolled for over a decade about her shape.
As someone who’s more known for my talkative nature than my physique, I can’t help but speak up: The way our world is fragmented due to anonymity online just leaves a bad taste in my mouth!
As someone who values sisterhood deeply, I find it challenging to resonate with women who fail to uplift their fellow sisters. Regardless of our physical variations – be it size or shape – we are all unique. If our frequencies don’t align, our journey together might not progress smoothly.
Her hashtag was for ‘body confidence’ as she added, ‘Share the love you butterfly.’ ✨
Previously a child bride, she now ties the knot with filmmaker Jared Safier at the Casa de Monte Vista hotel situated in Palm Springs, California.
It was in a ‘last-minute’ ceremony, she said.

In the summer of 2023, Courtney started dating an Emmy-winning TV producer whom she met during a movie production. They became engaged by June 2024.
She shared with the media that herself and Jared believe this particular moment is ideal for them to tie the knot, since both their families are in Los Angeles for the Thanksgiving celebrations.
They had decided to get married without setting a specific date. Looking into each other’s eyes, they realized they were equally unconventional. In that moment, they both felt it was the ideal time to take this step, as she put it.
Following their heartfelt promises, Courtney and Jared delighted their attendees with a variety of vegan dishes during the celebration.
