Country Star Sheryl Crow Ditches Tesla, Slammed as ‘Elitist’ in Protest Against Musk

On Friday, country music enthusiasts were buzzing after Sheryl Crow shared a video of her Tesla being towed, which was an act of protest directed at Elon Musk.

‘My parents used to tell me that “you’re influenced by the people you spend time with.” At some point, it’s necessary to choose who you want to associate yourself with. So, goodbye Tesla,’ she wrote in her caption for the video.

As an ardent supporter, I’m contributing to @npr, a platform potentially challenged by President Musk. My hope lies in ensuring that truth prevails and reaches those eager to uncover it.

In the video, Crow was spotted standing on her lengthy gravel driveway, wearing green utility trousers and a black coat.

With a self-satisfied gesture, she waved farewell to her Tesla, the automobile company founded by Elon Musk, as it was being towed off, all the while flashing a grin at the camera.

In the video, many viewers criticized her as being high-class or snobbish. One viewer wrote, “You’re so elitist. I’m really let down by your position. It seems like you don’t value the American public. Too bad, good luck with your future.

‘Why do people oppose both Trump and Musk? If you disagree with them, it appears that you are also against free speech, effective government, national security, and America-first policies. It’s unfortunate if this is the case, as these values seem very important to you, Sheryl Crow.’

Initially, you admired Elon for his Democratic donations. Now, as he exposes widespread corruption and mismanagement on an unprecedented level, it seems hypocritical that you’re more focused on virtuous posturing than acknowledging his actions. A third individual concurred with this observation, expressing a sense of admiration.

A commentator wrote that they find it frustrating when affluent liberals lecture the less fortunate about how our tax dollars should be spent by the government.

In the 1990s, Crow became widely recognized with popular songs such as “If It Makes You Happy,” “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” and “Soak Up the Sun.

She is scheduled to perform at the Boston Calling Festival in May, having just completed an opening act for Pink following her withdrawal from Zach Bryan’s tour.

After the Federal Communications Commission’s new chair, Brendan Carr, initiated an examination of NPR’s sponsorship procedures in January, Crow chose to give her Tesla earnings to NPR, signifying her decision.

According to a letter he wrote, Carr asserted that NPR was supposedly straying into forbidden territory of commercial advertising, as addressed to its CEO, Katherine Maher.

On January 30th, I publicly asserted my conviction that our programming at NPR adheres to federal regulations, and I am optimistic that a thorough investigation will validate this claim.

Elon Musk has faced criticism over allegations that Tesla entered into a $400 million deal with the U.S. State Department for the production of ‘Tesla Armored Vehicles.’

Since 2015, SpaceX and Tesla, companies associated with him, have garnered approximately $18 billion in federal contracts collectively. This financial connection raises doubts among his critics about the potential for conflicts of interest regarding his role in government.

In response to the statement made in the Oval Office, Musk told journalists, ‘If you find any contract given to SpaceX that wasn’t significantly the best deal for the taxpayers, please inform me, as all such contracts were.’

Despite Elon Musk asserting no conflict of interest, workers within the Department of Government Efficiency have persisted in enacting significant budget reductions across various federal departments such as the Department of Education and the Internal Revenue Service.
