Oh my gosh, you guys, I just saw the news and I’m totally heartbroken! Colter Wall has cancelled his 2026 tour. Apparently, he needs to take some time for himself and focus on his mental health, and honestly, while I’m devastated we won’t see him on stage, I completely understand and support him. His well-being is the most important thing, and I just hope he takes all the time he needs to get better. I’m sending him all my love and hoping he knows we’ll be here when he’s ready to come back. It’s just… Colter Wall! I was SO looking forward to that tour!
The Canadian singer-songwriter, known for his 2017 debut album and songs like “Kate McCannon” and “Motorcycle,” announced the news to his fans in a personal post on social media Wednesday.
Wall shared that they’ve been struggling with their mental health. Even though they knew they weren’t well, they continued to tour, which unfortunately made things worse.
The artist, age 30, has cancelled the rest of his 2026 tour for his album, Memories and Empties, after talking it over with his team. He announced they’ve also decided to take a break from performing live for an unspecified amount of time.
Some fans noticed warning signs when Wall unexpectedly canceled his concert in Evansville, Indiana, just before he was supposed to perform. The last-minute cancellation left those in attendance shocked and worried.
This isn’t the first time the country star has had to halt touring.
In early 2025, Wall postponed his shows scheduled for February and March, explaining that he needed to focus on his well-being, both mentally and physically.
For over ten years, Wall has been a well-known and respected artist in the world of country and Americana music, steadily gaining a loyal fanbase.
I’ve been watching this artist’s rise for a while now, and it really started to gain momentum back in 2015 with his EP, Imaginary Appalachia. From there, he built a dedicated fanbase with tracks like “Sleeping on the Blacktop” and the incredibly catchy “The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie.” It’s been exciting to see his sound resonate with so many people!
His distinctive, slightly rough voice and simple style make him stand out in today’s country music scene, and have won him both positive reviews and a loyal following.
Last year marked a significant moment in Wall’s career with the release of his fifth album, ‘Memories and Empties.’ This collection of personal, working-class country songs was recorded at the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville.
To promote his new album, he’s planning a large U.S. tour called Memories and Empties, starting in early 2026. The tour will include shows in Texas, the Midwest, and Detroit, and feature opening acts Hayden Redwine and Kade Hoffman on some dates.
