Country musician Bryan Martin is voicing his thoughts following an unpleasant occurrence during a performance in New York City, where authorities reportedly needed to escort him off the stage.
At the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds during his performance on Friday, Martin, aged 37, was escorted away from the stage by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, as confirmed through their Facebook post.
The authorities stated that the performer showed signs of being under the influence and acted unpredictably. At first, they refused to cooperate with the officers, but eventually, they were guided out of the location.
The RCSO stated that due to his condition, he showed resistance and needed to be gently guided out. Initially, his actions seemed aggressive, which understandably worried the audience and organizers.
In the wake of the incident, Mr. Martin admitted his struggle with alcoholism, thus changing the focus from conflict to empathy.
After the incident, it was revealed that Mr. Martin is grappling with alcoholism, shifting the narrative from one of discord to understanding.
Shared videos on social media show the incident where Martin started yelling on stage, which later led officers to approach and escort him off the stage.

On the next day, Martin spoke openly about the issue on Instagram, confessing that he’s been struggling with his emotional well-being and alcohol consumption.
He expressed regret for not meeting expectations last night, admitting that he’s been struggling emotionally due to ongoing stress. He added that his absence was also due to missing his loved ones, but lately, he’s found himself letting his mental state dictate his actions rather than his feelings, and unfortunately, it took control of him during this instance.
He went on to say, “I want to express my apologies for the tough days, but I’m immensely thankful for the numerous pleasant evenings we’ve experienced together this year. This is the most continuous string of good times I’ve had in a long while.
Martin went on to pledge that he would take a step back and focus on recovery.
He confessed, “I don’t feel any sense of pride when I reach for another drink. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me, and I aspire to be a better person. To achieve this, I’ll be reducing my drinking, focusing on writing songs again, and seeking the help I need.
Deputy Sheriff Kyle Bourgault also released a statement, highlighting that the situation was managed calmly and no injuries were sustained by anyone involved.
According to Bourgault, our deputies managed the situation in a proficient manner, ensuring no harm came to anyone involved. However, the underlying problem isn’t the opposition we faced; instead, it lies in the personal struggle that Mr. Martin is enduring.
Bourgault added: ‘I fervently wish that Mr. Martin gets the necessary resources and assistance, so he can conquer this challenge and keep sharing his wonderful music with us in a more robust state of well-being.’

On Sunday, Martin posted a snapshot from an article that showcased a picture of him being borne by law enforcers.
It wasn’t the most memorable moment, and it certainly wasn’t perfect, but we made it to @whiskeyriff! I apologize to my fans… I don’t have time for internet trolls. A big shout-out to the Sheriff’s office – thank you for helping me navigate through this situation. I’m truly grateful for your support and understanding.
Martin confessed that he can’t recall anything from that evening as he became extremely intoxicated.
Known for crafting and performing tunes as an outlaw country musician, this hitmaker is particularly famous for penning songs that reflect his genuine, hardworking life experiences.
Before, he had a job on an oil platform, and he’s been candid about the challenges he faced battling substance abuse issues.
2024 marked the year when he graced the stage of Stagecoach, the globally renowned country music festival, boasting a daily crowd of approximately 75,000 to 80,000 visitors.

In his official bio, Martin talks about growing up poor and troubled in Louisiana.
As a committed individual, I succumbed to the allure of substances like drugs and alcohol, which ultimately led me to abandon my high school education. Recognizing the need for change, I decided to join the military as a means to reclaim control over my life and clean up my act.
‘But soon, he was sent home – and the feeling of failure led Martin to ultimately attempt suicide.
At the age of 19, he admitted to having taken 30 Percocets and firing a 357 revolver. Reminiscing about his past, he remembered that his first song originated from a suicide note.
Martin’s first album, titled “If It Was Easy,” released in 2019, delves into his battles with opiate addiction, mental health issues, and his upbringing in a family connected to the oil industry.
It seems to me that if I try to conceal my scars or pretend to be someone else, I’m essentially becoming the very person I never wanted to be.”
This version preserves the main idea of the original statement while using more natural and easy-to-read language. It also makes it clearer that the speaker is referring to themselves (rather than using the first person plural “we”) and emphasizes the sense of contradiction between the speaker’s actions and their intentions.
I carry these marks with me, striving to bear them gracefully. I choose not to conceal them because I want others to understand that we are essentially the same.
