Could Ben be the mystery soldier coming to save Layton in Snowpiercer?

As a long-time survivor of the unforgiving world of Snowpiercer, I can’t help but hold onto hope for those who have been lost along the way. The loss of Ben still stings, and I find it hard to let go of the belief that he might return. After all, this train is full of mysteries, and the possibility of a miraculous resurrection isn’t entirely out of the question.

In the series Snowpiercer, several heartbreaking departures have occurred. Among these, the disappearance of Ben is particularly distressing, and I find it hard to accept as truth.

In the summary for Episode 8 of Snowpiercer Season 4, it’s mentioned that a masked soldier is on his way to aid Layton, Josie, and Liana. Given that they haven’t had much time to develop relationships with the Animal Squad, it seems likely that this individual is a friend who has come to rescue them.

Could it be that Ben has returned, not necessarily as a result of death but rather revival, given that freezing here doesn’t equate to permanent demise?

Did Dr. Headwood start some experiments on Ben in Snowpiercer?

It turns out that people can revive after being frozen, though not exactly in the traditional sense. For instance, Josie was believed to be dead when she was frozen due to frostbite, but she survived. Similarly, Boki experienced something similar and our knowledge about the Cold Man is limited. Yet, it’s evident that some of the cold’s damaging effects can be undone.

Could it be that Dr. Headwood conducted tests on Ben, given that his body was found? While it’s conceivable someone might have abandoned him in the wilderness, considering the enthusiasm Milius and Dr. Headwood show for human experimentation, it seems more plausible that Ben’s body was taken.

This situation might enable his return. Upon his arrival, he’d remain loyal to Layton, and his primary objective would be to rescue Layton, Josie, and Liana.

It’s still early for such an event, given that Josie has only recently completed her treatment regimen to regain her strength.

Furthermore, undoing Ben’s demise diminishes the immense sacrifice he made to protect those dear to him. I prefer that such a selfless end be respected, so I hope it’s another character who meets this fate in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 8.

Take a look at the synopsis for the episode:

Big Alice pulls into New Eden; Layton, Josie, and Liana sit stranded in the middle of nowhere, freezing to death, when a masked soldier appears; Alex finds herself in danger.
