Corrie Star’s Selfie SHOCKS Fans! Is That REALLY Her?!

She waved goodbye to the cobbles over 22 years ago.

On Tuesday, Tracy Shaw, known for her role in Coronation Street, flashed a youthful glow in a recent Instagram selfie, appearing fresher than ever.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve had the privilege of embodying a captivating character named Maxine Peacock on the beloved ITV soap opera from 1995. Unfortunately, my character’s journey took an unexpected turn when she was tragically killed by the chilling serial killer Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) in 2003.

For seven years in Weatherfield, Tracy frequently ranked high among the most attractive female TV personalities, and she won the title “Rear of the Year” in May 1996.

In the latest photo, Tracy appeared radiant, flaunting her youthful skin while basking in the sunny weather of Britain, right in her own garden.

With her iconic golden ringlets intact, she donned a blue sleeveless shirt and adorned herself with a bead-embellished necklace.

She kept her well-known blonde curls, and paired a blue tank top with a strand of beaded jewelry around her neck.

She wrote: ‘When you finally have lawn again’.  

During her stint on Corrie, Maxine was involved in multiple romantic relationships. Some of these were with individuals like Curly Watts, Des Barnes, Andy McDonald, and Tony Horrocks.

Eventually, she got married to butcher Ashley Peacock; however, her son Joshua was conceived outside of marriage in a relationship with Matt Ramsden.

Instead of opting for revenge, Ashley decided to grant forgiveness and adopt Joshua as if he were his biological child. However, Maxine’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she was killed by Richard, having discovered him beside the unconscious Emily Bishop, who was looking after Joshua at the Peacock residence.

In a more sinister turn of events, the infamous soap opera antagonist pursued the hairstylist up the staircase and brutally killed her using a crowbar.

In private discussions, it emerged that Tracy decided to leave the show following management’s demand for a salary reduction when renewing her contract.

It was said that the producers requested a reduction of her salary by £20,000 and established a contract term of only 12 months, leading her to decide to leave.

Following her departure, Tracy continued to act in various ITV dramas, one of which was the stage production “The Blue Room.” In this performance, she portrayed the character Sally, who was nude on stage alongside Jason, the son of Sean Connery.

After leaving, Tracy starred in multiple ITV dramas such as the play “The Blue Room,” where she played the role of Sally alongside Jason, Sean Connery’s son. During this performance, her character was portrayed entirely without clothing.

Apart from her current pursuits, she had a brief stint in the pop music industry earlier. She put out two songs through the Love This Records label, namely “Ridin’ High” and a rendition of Lonnie Gordon’s top 10 hit “Happenin’ All Over Again.

Moreover, she was involved in several prominent romantic connections, including associations with Alex Moscovich, soccer player Dwight Yorke from Blackburn Rovers, and Mick Hucknall, the lead vocalist of Simply Red.

Apart from a brief engagement with the actor-singer Darren Day, Tracy was later romantically involved with him before he chose Hollywood actress Isla Fisher instead.

After only three months together, she ended up marrying television producer Robert Ashworth in March 2000, having become engaged during that time.

In a grand wedding costing £100,000 held at Knowsley Hall, Merseyside, in June 2001, they exchanged vows, yet they parted ways only two years afterwards through divorce.

Later, Tracy began a romantic relationship with her longtime friend Ashley Poundall. She subsequently had two boys, Louis, who is now 19 years old, and Luca, who turns 18 this year.

Tracy developed a romantic connection with her childhood buddy Ashley Poundall, and later gave birth to two sons – Louis, currently 19, and Luca, who will be turning 18 soon.

2019 saw her make an appearance on “Loose Women,” where she shared that after stepping down from her prominent position on “Corrie,” she spent a period out of the limelight to concentrate on her kids.

Tracy openly acknowledged that she found it challenging to cope with the celebrity status she gained from the soap opera, and vividly remembered instances when photographers (paparazzi) would bother her by taking pictures of her and her co-star Angela Griffin, as well as her son Louis, during their walks together.

She openly admitted that the high viewership numbers of “Coronation Street” put a significant amount of pressure on her.

Back when I had Louie, Angela and I would often stroll together with the strollers. It seemed unusual to allow photographers to snap shots of the boys since they don’t have a say in such matters.
