Oh, the thrill and anticipation of I’m A Celebrity is simply unmatched! As a die-hard fan, I’ve been following every twist and turn of this rollercoaster ride since its inception. And this year, with Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall making a comeback after his knee injury setback, the drama has reached an all-time high!

Though a knee injury posed a potential problem for his appearance, actor Alan Halsall became the second celebrity to touch down at Brisbane Airport for this year’s I’m A Celebrity event.

Last year’s series saw the actor, aged 42, famous for his role as Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap opera, being compelled to withdraw due to a recurring knee issue. Regrettably, this old injury has acted up once more.

In November last year, the individual who is a parent to one child went through significant knee surgery, and medical professionals informed him that his recovery could span as long as a year.

During the procedure, the damaged anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is rebuilt by taking out the torn part and grafting in a tendon sourced from elsewhere in the leg.

On Friday, there were reports that the actor from Coronation Street had to withdraw from a padel tournament due to a knee issue, fueling rumors that he might not be able to join I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

According to a source, Alan had planned to join a padel tournament, but at the last second, he withdrew due to discomfort in his knee.

Things seem okay for now, but he needs to exercise extreme caution. There’s a possibility that certain trials may not include him, as his superiors are still evaluating whether there could be an exception made for him.

It’s quite disappointing for Alan, as he had been eagerly anticipating immersing himself in it. However, now he must proceed with caution.

TopMob has contacted Alan’s representatives for comment.

Upon landing in Australia, Alan adhered to ITV’s stringent regulations regarding his participation in I’m A Celebrity, refraining from any discussion until the formal roster was unveiled. He maintained that his visit was simply a golfing vacation.

He told TopMob: ‘Not sure what all the fuss is about, I’m here on a golfing holiday. It’s a long way to travel for a golfing holiday but I’m an avid fan.’

In response to queries about Andy Whyment’s time in the jungle, he playfully remarked: “I won’t be seeking advice from Andy! My strategy here is to live it up in style.

Alan updated his followers at the time when he had the surgery.

Next to the picture, he wrote: ‘I had ACL reconstruction surgery on Friday.’

The surgery appears to have gone exceptionally well, according to what I’ve been informed. I’m aware that I’ve got a tough road ahead with rehabilitation lasting between 9 and 12 months, but I’m confident that with the help of my loved ones, I will make it through.

A big thank you to the fantastic team at Oaklands, and a special thanks to my personal nurse Ratched @missdrewmerry93. Do you have any rehabilitation tips or advice for me?

As an over-the-moon, die-hard McFly fan, I couldn’t help but feel my heart race as Danny Jones, the charismatic frontman himself, was the first to land at Brisbane Airport this past Sunday. The anticipation for this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here just skyrocketed for me!

38-year-old individual showed up accompanied by Sam Thompson, who was crowned King of the Jungle last year, as well as former contestant Joel Dommett and radio personality Kemi Rogers. These individuals are hosting the spin-off show titled “I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked”.

Danny departed from Heathrow Airport, stopping in Singapore en route, and for the duration of the 22-hour journey, he maintained a relaxed and comfortable appearance in an Oasis T-shirt, accompanied by a guitar in his travel bag.

An intense downpour was poised to lead the aircraft transporting the initial I’m A Celeb contestants off course towards Sydney Airport.

However, among the other hosts of the show’s spin-offs, Danny, Sam Thompson, Joel Dommett, and Kemi Rodgers were fortunate enough to arrive safely in Brisbane without incident. All other flights needed to deviate for an additional 1 hour and 35 minutes due to some unspecified reason.

In a hellish experience for passengers the plane was forced to hang above the runway for a time before it could land with Danny telling TopMob: ‘The flight was pretty stormy, bit bumpy, bit of a hairy flight.’
