Coronation Street’s Sally Lindsay talks “secret” romance in returning show
Previously known Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay disclosed the reason behind the success of the clandestine relationship depicted in her upcoming series.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about Lindsay, who charmed us as Shelley Unwin on Corrie, stepping into the spotlight once more! She’s now the leading lady in the captivating cosy crime series, The Madame Blanc Mysteries. This evening, we welcome the fourth season of this delightful show. Following Lindsay’s character, Jean White, an antiques dealer and clever amateur sleuth, as she lends her expertise to the police force in the picturesque south of France, promises an enthralling journey!
On a special appearance before the start of its fourth season, the actor shared details about Jean’s relationship with Dom (portrayed by Steve Edge) to hosts Alex Jones and Vernon Kay on “The One Show”.

“We wanted to represent a middle-aged couple,” Lindsay said.
At this stage in life, it seems that what you’re seeking isn’t a family or shared living space, but rather a relaxed and carefree experience together.
Currently, Jean and Dom are discreetly maintaining their relationship, ensuring it remains private among the other characters.
Since they reside within a bustling community, they wish to conceal their situation and observe the outcome for themselves, Lindsay explained.
“There is no rush and they can take their time and they can do what they want,” she added.
They hide their relationship from everyone, making only the audience and the two of them privy to this knowledge.
This season, Jean will collaborate with Police Chief Inspector André Caron, portrayed by Alex Gaumond, to solve additional enigmas, all the while endeavoring to maintain her blossoming relationship discreetly.
In addition, it was announced that Samantha Power, Charlie Condou, Richard Blackwood, Danny Hatchard, Graeme Hawley, Lorraine Burroughs, and Edward MacLiam will be making appearances in the upcoming episodes.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns on March 20 at 9pm on Channel 5.
