On Monday, the actress, age 28, who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap opera, revealed that she and her footballer partner Ryan Ledson are expecting their second child.
On Instagram, Lucy posted a heartwarming video, letting everyone know that she was halfway through her pregnancy as she lovingly cradled her tiny baby bump.
In January 2023, the actor known for his soap roles and Ryan, aged 26, who is a midfielder for Preston North End, became parents to Sonny Jude.
Sitting with, Sonny, the couple could be seen as they read a book with the tot, before the camera cut to a positive pregnancy test and an ultra sound.
Lucy and Ryan met through friends back in 2017.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement over the recent disclosure by the beloved soap actress. She’s expressed a wish to expand her family with two more kids! However, it appears that Ryan may require a bit of persuasion in this joyful endeavor.
On ITV’s Drama Queens in April, when discussing the future, the midfielder expressed, “I might have one more,” to which Lucy replied, “How about two more.”
Ryan argued back: ‘One more for me, like’.
Lucy then had the final word as she added: ‘Two more. I have the uterus.’
The actress also opened up about her frustrations that Ryan is yet to pop the question.
Lucy mentioned: “Many people believe that dating a footballer means an abundance of glamour, but Ryan is quite ordinary. He’s just an everyday guy from Liverpool.”

At the start of this year, the actress reprised her character Bethany Platt on the ITV1 soap opera. Recently, her character partnered with lawyer Dee Dee Bailey, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, in an attempt to uncover the truth about Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.
Previously absent journalist and unofficial investigator Bethany, whom the writers deemed essential for unfolding the tale of Lauren’s destiny, made a comeback on the program last year.
