Studio Arm Private Limited has unveiled a fresh closed beta test for their recently developed tactical hero shooter game, named “Core Runners.” This Valorant-like game is now accessible on Android devices. Earlier, the title conducted a Closed Beta Test from December 12 to December 19, 2024, in certain regions.
Dive into a Valorant-inspired shooter with unique characters and tactical game modes
As a gamer, I’d say Core Runners is my go-to 5v5 tactical hero shooter, reminiscent of Valorant but with its own twist. Here, you pick from six distinct characters and jump into heart-pounding game modes such as the exhilarating Core Heist or the relentless Knockout Rally. The aim? To outplay other gamers in thrilling battles!

In my opinion, it seems to me that this game leans heavily towards being a copy of Valorant, rather than just drawing inspiration from it. For instance, a character named Icaro appears to share similarities with Valorant’s Phoenix, although their abilities may differ. As for the modes, Core Heist is reminiscent of Unrated, as you need to either deploy or defuse an Extractor, and Knockout Rally resembles a fast-paced version of Team Deathmatch.
Experiment with a variety of weapons and battle across three maps
On three distinct maps, you’ll engage in combat with a well-balanced weapon system that includes an integrated economy mechanism. You can select from a robust assortment of weapons, including Pistols, Submachine Guns, Assault rifles, Snipers, and Machine guns. As a Valorant player, I’m excited to test the Rebel, which seems to be comparable to the Vandal in this game.
In essence, this game appears to be quite promising, having surpassed 100,000 downloads on Android during its pre-release tests. It boasts a rich assortment of characters, weapons, maps, game modes, and unique abilities that can potentially rival Valorant’s mobile version, provided it is well-executed.
The game titled “Core Runners” is currently undergoing a closed testing phase on Android devices, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. At this moment, we don’t have any details about an iOS testing period or a worldwide release. Keep checking back for further announcements!
