This popular home renovation show has been a major success for twenty years, though it hasn’t been without its share of problems and disagreements.
Following a recent cheating scandal on The Block, the Daily Mail reports another controversy is brewing at the Daylesford construction site.
Oh my gosh, I’m seriously stressed! It looks like things are *really* heating up on Blockheads. Another copying scandal is brewing, and honestly, it feels like it’s about to explode into a full-blown war between the contestants. I can’t wait – and also, I’m terrified – to see how it all plays out when the next episode airs!
And the reactions to the two controversies could not be more different.
The first controversy, broadcast last month, involved Alicia and Sonny from Queensland competing against Han and Can from Perth.
The Queenslanders accused Han and Can of stealing the concept for their Hepburn Springs bathhouse.

Following the accusations, things became incredibly tense, with one person involved describing it as one of the most dramatic moments of the season.
‘Alicia went ballistic,’ a source told Daily Mail.
While she appeared calmer on camera, she was still very angry privately. Sonny had made it clear he no longer considered the girls to be his family.
This was definitely one of the most dramatic moments of the season so far, but expect more conflict to come.
Another controversy is brewing on The Block, with accusations that Matt and Robby from Adelaide copied the design of Em and Ben, a husband-and-wife team from Victoria.
Matt and Robby were working on an impressive wine cellar and bunker design, but Em and Ben revealed a very similar idea at House One.
While Alicia and Sonny made no secret about their feelings, Matt and Robby take a different tack.
Instead of getting angry, the boys hold back their reactions – even though they secretly believe a similar action would be unfair.

However, unlike Alicia and Sonny, the boys handle things in a much calmer way. Instead of reacting with anger, they keep their feelings to themselves.
Em once joked that building a wine cellar would be an unfair advantage, but House One went ahead and did exactly that shortly after.
One production insider told Daily Mail the contrasting reactions have been reality TV gold.
‘You’ve got Alicia and Sonny bringing fireworks, and Matt and Robby playing it cool,’ they said.
‘Two identical scandals, two totally different strategies. It’s perfect TV.’
Han and Can, deeply hurt by the accusation of theft which left them in tears, admitted it was a painful experience.
Can said he was deeply upset by the suggestion that he would steal someone else’s idea, stating, ‘The thought that anyone would see me as a thief is awful. It really bothers me.’
Even though the disagreement over the wine cellar hasn’t been resolved and the auction is almost here, everyone on site is still feeling stressed and uneasy.

Viewers are getting ready for new conflicts and are curious to see which contestant’s strategy will succeed when the final decision is made.
Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
The first argument happened when Sonny and Alicia claimed Han and Can copied their design – both teams had included a heated seat in the bathrooms for their Hepburn Spa concepts.
Alicia angrily questioned why someone would copy something just because another house was doing it, exclaiming that it didn’t make any sense.
She demanded a good explanation, criticizing their idea as lacking in creativity and originality.
When the couple confronted Han about the rumors of cheating, she insisted she and Can hadn’t done anything wrong. She claimed the people who spread the rumors were the ones who originally came up with the idea.
Despite Han defending their decision to build a heated seat, Sonny and Alicia weren’t buying it.
Honestly, it just gets under my skin when people lie directly to someone’s face. Like, why can’t you just be truthful? That’s what Alicia said, and I totally agree with her – just be honest, please! It’s the simplest thing.

‘I think it’s full of s***. I think she heard our idea. I think they put no time into it.’
Can later apologized to Sonny and Alicia, explaining that his actions weren’t meant to be harmful, but were simply a mistake.
However, the moment raised eyebrows both on-site and on screen.
Sonny pointed out the contradiction: one person claims innocence, while the other is apologizing. He questioned, ‘If you’re truly innocent, what would you even be apologizing for?’
