Barry Manilow has announced new tour dates and given fans an update amid his health crisis.
The 82-year-old singer from Copacabana announced on Instagram Saturday that he’s recovering well after doctors removed a cancerous spot from his lung, and says he’s feeling good.
Great news! Barry is doing really well and has added six more concerts to his March schedule, according to his latest post.
Barry is excited to announce his tour dates for March! He’ll be visiting Charlotte, Norfolk, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Nashville, and Lexington. Tickets go on sale first for Fan Club members on Tuesday, January 13th at 10 AM Pacific Time.
Along with the information was a poster with dates for March 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9 listed.
The celebrity’s message to their 124,000 followers concluded with a poignant thought: ‘In the future, when you remember this time, you’ll be glad you had a chance to say farewell.’

The musician revealed to his fans in December that he had lung cancer, and would be undergoing surgery to remove the affected area.
He noted at the time that he would not have to undergo chemo or radiation.
Barry Manilow said his doctor recommended an MRI because he had been sick with bronchitis twice, and each time it lasted for several weeks.
Last month, I shared on Instagram that even after recovering from bronchitis and returning to performing at the Westgate Las Vegas, my doctor wanted to be extra sure everything was alright, so they ordered an MRI.
He added that it was ‘pure luck’ that the spot was discovered early.
Lung nodules, or spots on the lung, are fairly common and usually aren’t cancerous. However, the Mayo Clinic notes they should be checked by a doctor because they can sometimes be a sign of lung cancer, which is the most deadly type of cancer.
The star is a longtime smoker who has switched to vaping in recent years.
Barry Manilow revealed in a 2012 interview with the London Evening Standard that he started smoking at age nine. Recently, photos published by the Daily Mail showed him vaping in Palm Springs.

Barry Manilow announced on Instagram on December 22nd that he’s taking time off to get better.
I’m sharing some difficult news: now that the Christmas Gift Of Love concerts are finished, I need to have surgery to remove a spot. The doctors don’t think it’s spread, and they’re running tests to be sure. Thankfully, I won’t need chemotherapy or radiation – just plenty of rest, chicken soup, and watching old episodes of ‘I Love Lucy’!
The performer had planned a US tour beginning in January 2026, with scheduled stops in cities like Orlando, Tampa, Charleston, Greensboro, and Columbus.
He explained that needing a month to recover means the January concerts at the arena will have to be moved to a later date, and he apologized for any inconvenience this causes.
Barry Manilow announced he’ll be performing again in February, predicting it will be a celebratory event. He also wished everyone a happy Christmas and New Year, and reminded people to get tested if they experience any symptoms of illness.
