Okay, so Cookie Run: Kingdom is getting a huge update – Version 6.9, called “Catacombs of Silence”! It’s dropping after maintenance on September 24th, 2025, which they’re saying will be around 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM KST. I’m super excited because it sounds like there’s a whole new story chapter, plus new cookies to collect, events to play, and a bunch of permanent content being added. Can’t wait to jump in!
This update is still in progress, so some details might change before it’s officially released. You’ll find the final list of changes in the patch notes when the update is finished. But here’s a preview: this update will include new cookies, episodes, limited-time events, toppings, treasures, quality-of-life improvements, and more!
Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 6.9 Update: New Cookie Characters
Beast Cookie: Silent Salt Cookie
- Rarity: Beast
- Type: Ambush
Silent Salt Cookie harnesses the energy of an eclipse, calling upon his horse, Nox Black Salt, to inflict massive damage and silence opponents with a powerful attack called Silence Eternal. He then charges ahead, unleashing a lunar-based strike that deals significant damage.

When combat begins, Silent Salt applies “Fury of the Catacombs” to the enemy with the highest Attack, prioritizing those not protected by Safeguard. As this effect stacks, the target will eventually receive “Punishment.” If the initial target is defeated, Fury of the Catacombs will then affect the next strongest enemy.
If your team’s health gets too low, many enemies will be affected by Wrath of the Catacomb, immediately activating the Silent Demise effect. Plus, Silent Salt is unaffected by abilities that reduce cooldown times and actually becomes stronger with buffs and shields if anyone tries to interfere with his cooldowns. He’s a very powerful Cookie and could significantly change how the game is played.
Epic Cookie: Charcoal Cookie
- Rarity: Epic
- Type: Magic
Okay, so Charcoal Cookie is seriously awesome! He calls down these tombstones, and spooky spirits come out to grab your opponents and hold them down. What’s really cool is his lantern – it actually *eats* the power of the enemies he and the spirits are battling. And get this, if enemies are defeated while they’re trapped, the lantern gets even stronger! It’s a really clever way to keep him powered up during a fight.

Once the lantern is fully charged, it releases a powerful blast called Cleansing Light, damaging enemies and simultaneously strengthening Silent Salt Cookie if they are nearby. These two work exceptionally well together, and pairing them is highly recommended. Silent Salt Cookie gains increased critical damage for Darkness and Steel attacks thanks to the Charcoal buff.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 6.9 Update: New Permanent Game Features
Episode 11: Silence of Conviction
Okay, so White Lily Cookie’s story just got *intense*! She went into this place called the Land of Silence, and it’s seriously creepy. It’s ruled by this scary cookie, the Silent Salt Cookie, and filled with angry ghosts. Honestly, this chapter is amazing – it’s super eerie, really mysterious, and feels so epic! It’s definitely the most atmospheric episode I’ve seen so far.

- Clear Stage 11-30 to unlock the Castle of Silence Cookie Castle design.
- Equip both Castle of Silence and Fountain of Silence to activate a special effect.
Episode Effects

- Veil of Salt: Weakens your team’s damage and applies Salt Rock, a periodic HP loss debuff. Charcoal Cookie nullifies Veil of Salt and weakens Salt Rock, while Silent Salt is completely immune.
- Soul of Salt: From Stage 11-16 onwards, enemies become Enraged near defeat. With Silent Salt on your team, enemies instead suffer from Salt Dread, reducing their ATK and SPD.
Tactical Skill: Silent Strike
Creates a rune of black salt that continuously damages enemies. If an enemy is already affected by Salt Dread, they become Petrified and trapped by Salt Seal, which severely limits their ability to use skills. Additionally, using Silent Salt reduces the cooldown time of this skill.
Challenge Mode
If you enjoy a good challenge, Episode 11 now features a special Challenge Mode. Once you’ve completed stages on Hard difficulty, you’ll unlock it and can try out different difficulty settings to earn Challenge Points. The great thing is, you won’t use any stamina, so you can test your limits without worrying about resources.
New Bear Jelly Expedition Area
Completing Episode 11 unlocks a new area for the Bear Jelly Balloon expedition, where you can gather Silence Yeast Ore. Collecting 60 units of this ore will boost research speed at the Sugar Gnome Laboratory, making your expeditions even more rewarding.
New Resonant Toppings: Silent Toppings
We’ve added new Resonant Toppings that are specifically designed for certain Cookies. Currently, you can use them with the Silent Salt Cookie and the Charcoal Cookie. A complete Topping set bonus will activate as long as all equipped Toppings belong to the same set – it doesn’t matter if they’re regular or Resonant Toppings!

When you improve Resonant Toppings, they start with better base stats than normal Toppings. Also, the extra benefits you get from Resonant Toppings can be different from what you’d get with regular ones.
New Beascuit: Silent Salt Verdant and Wuthering
Check out the new Beast-Yeast Episode 11 to get two new kinds of Beascuit! These will boost your Grass and Wind-type damage. You’ll find better Beascuits by completing the harder stages. The Verdant and Wuthering Beascuits both begin at level 20.
New Skill Element: Grass
A new skill element, Grass, is being added to the following Cookies:

New Treasures
Two new treasures are being added in this update.

- [Epic] Cursed Catacombs Candle: Silences enemies and applies debuffs after Silence ends. Non-Cookie targets instead suffer ATK and SPD reductions.
- [Epic] Unyielding Berry Necklace: Buffs your team’s ATK, CRIT%, and resistance to knockback. The buffs stack with activations and hit harder at full stacks.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 6.9 Update: Limited Event To the Barren! Cannon Run
This update moves away from complicated storylines and serious themes, and introduces a fun new mini-game called Cannon Run. In Cannon Run, you’ll drive a chariot, fight bosses, and gather power-ups like missiles, magnets, and attack boosts.

This mode allows you to improve your chariot up to level 20 using Raspberry Coins. You’ll earn Blueberry Coins as rewards, based on how well you do. It’s a fun, quick way to relax and take a break from the more serious story missions.
