The popular game, Cookie Run: Kingdom, is preparing to launch its latest update, titled “Battlefield of Passion“. This exciting new version is scheduled for release following maintenance, which is expected around 06:00 – 10:00 (GMT+9) on June 4th, 2025. The update promises a fresh storyline, as well as new cookies, events, and permanent content to explore!

This update’s content might be modified before it goes live. Once the update is fully implemented, the final alterations will be detailed in the patch notes. For now, expect an abundance of new features like fresh Cookies, fresh Episodes, Limited-time Events, assorted Toppings, Treasures, Quality of Life improvements, and more!

Ancient Cookie (Awakened): Aegis Hollyberry Cookie

  • Type: Defense

Description of Ability: Hollyberry Cookie advances swiftly! With her Shield of Resilience in hand, she’ll absorb a part of the damage that fellow Cookies endure (excluding periodic and indirect damage). Following this, she’ll strengthen the Ally Cookies, making them more resistant to critical damage hits and protecting them from detrimental status effects.

Hollyberry Cookie acquires the Seed of Life buff based on the damage sustained during Shield of Conviction. Once she accumulates sufficient Seed of Life stacks, it transforms into Berry of Life. The Steelbound Passion ability becomes active either due to sustained damage during Shield of Conviction or after a specified duration. Lastly, the Steelbound Guardian ability activates when Hollyberry Cookie has amassed enough Steelbound Passion stacks or her HP falls below a particular threshold.

Activating the Steelbound Guardian mode will refresh Hollyberry Cookie‘s cooldown, restore her health, boost the strength of her final hit based on the damage sustained during the Shield of Conviction, and decrease the cool-down for her skill’s first activation. During this time, she will also gain temporary resistance to interruptions while using her ability.

Epic Cookie: Sugarfly Cookie

Sugarfly Cookie

Sugarfly Cookie hovers above and intermittently revitalizes her allies. Following this, she expands her wings to shower the battlefield with Sweet Dust, enhancing the critical hit rate and critical damage for all allies while mitigating the impact of Dream. Unlike others, Sugarfly Cookie remains immune to the Sticky Goo effect.

Episode 10: Battlefield of Passion

In Episode 10, players are immersed deep within the Core of the Garden, as the destiny of Hollyberry Cookie remains uncertain. The combat zone is filled with two significant gameplay elements:

The debuff known as “Sticky Jam” kicks in when Cookies get hit repeatedly, gradually reducing both the attack speed and movement speed until they stop moving completely. Simultaneously, Raspberry Cookie’s Chariot makes an appearance on every stage, becoming increasingly lethal from Stage 10 to Stage 17.

The “Berry Bomb” Tactical Skill detonates heavy damage, particularly effective against enemies with HP shields. Players accumulate Bomb Charges by vanquishing enemies from the “Cone of Love”, and knocking down “Love Archer Cones” initiates a period of “Fever Time”, where an endless volley of high-powered bombs are fired. Upgrading this skill decreases its cooldown time and expands the charge capacity.

Spread throughout the levels are items known as “Fever Time Items” (which grant an unlimited number of skill uses) and “Bomb Charges” (each one picked up adds a charge to your skill). Successfully finishing all stages will unlock the “Bear Jelly Balloon Journey”, offering “Yeast Ore” to speed up the melting process of “Agar Cube” in the Mines.

New Bear Jelly Expedition Area

To venture into Episode 10, Battlefield of Passion or higher levels, first, complete all stages within Story or on a more challenging difficulty. To unlock expeditions to Beast-Yeast, you’ll need to have successfully cleared Beast-Yeast Stages 1 through 30. Your Cookies’ exhaustion determines the amount of Yeast Ore you can acquire during this adventure. In total, there are 60 units of Yeast Ore that can be obtained from this episode. These will accelerate the melting process of Agar Cubes in the Mines.

New Resonant Toppings: Passionate Toppings

In the latest update, we’ve introduced new “Resonating Toppings” that can exclusively be attached to particular Cookies. These top-notch Toppings can be added to the Hollyberry Cookie, Raspberry Cookie, Wildberry Cookie, Tiger Lily Cookie, and Sugarfly Cookie. The set effect of these Toppings will become active, regardless of whether they are standard or “Resonating Toppings,” provided all equipped Toppings belong to the same set.

When the amplified Bonus of Resonant Toppings is increased, these Resonant Toppings will have a larger minimum Value for their Bonus Stat compared to ordinary Toppings. The extra bonus effects of Resonant Toppings might not be identical to those found in regular Toppings.

New Magic Candy

Raspberry Cookie

The sweet treat known as Raspberry Cookie obtains a magical ability called the Raspberry Sword Dance. Having perfected House Raspberry’s legendary sword dance maneuver, Raspberry Cookie now delivers even more blows with her Raspberry Reprise, inflicting extra damage. The final blow grows stronger, marking the target with a Scarlet Brand.

Nurture the enthusiasm in the ‘Garden of Delights’ by donning the latest, extraordinary outfits on both ‘Hollyberry Cookie’ and ‘Eternal Sugar Cookie’.

  • Protector of Paradise (Hollyberry Cookie)
  • Blooming Bringer of Sloth (Eternal Sugar Cookie)

Beast Raid: Master Difficulty

After successfully completing the Expert level, this difficulty bracket challenges players with a significantly powerful Warden of the Heart as the boss. The boss is capable of inflicting Dream without Voice of Sloth and boasts Phase 2 Damage Resistance. Clearing it awards Hearts of Eternal Love for S++ victories.

Tiger Lily Cookie’s Berry Jump

In this mini-game, players help navigate Tiger Lily through fleeting clouds and treacherous spikes to gather Sweet ‘n’ Sour Berries. Exciting power-ups such as the Magnet Berry (automatically collects nearby berries) and Fever Mode (a mix of Magnet power with increased jumping height) add an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the gameplay.

As a gamer, I know that bumping into spikes signals an end to my run, but luckily, Life Berries, which I collect during the entire event, give me second chances. These precious berries can be exchanged in the Berry Shop for some sweet rewards.
