Controversial reality TV star slams luxurious Sydney hotel after entire lobby is flooded with rain

Dean Wells, a contentious star from the reality show “Married At First Sight,” expressed his disapproval towards the architectural layout of Crown Sydney, following news reports that its lobby had been inundated with rainwater.

Yesterday, the previous reality TV personality, aged 47, posted a video on social media that showed droplets of water leaking from the ceiling onto containers in the lobby below. The caption seemed to draw attention to this unfortunate incident.

Tonight, I found myself at the splendid Crown Sydney. With the evening’s event winding down, I stood in their grand lobby, eagerly awaiting my ride. Unfortunately, Mother Nature seemed to have other plans as rain poured outside, causing the opulent lobby to subtly weep with it.

Instead of saying ‘They were using buckets to catch the water and partitions to hide it, isn’t that building brand new?’, you could rephrase it as ‘Weren’t they employing buckets to collect water and dividers to conceal it? Isn’t the construction fresh and unseen?’ This version retains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language.

As a seasoned lifestyle aficionado, I’m thrilled to share that the monumental construction of the Crown Sydney, our city’s most towering edifice standing at an impressive 71 stories high, officially commenced back in October 2016. Fast forward four long yet productive years, and this architectural marvel was finally completed in December 2020. Truly a testament to resilience and determination, don’t you think?

A massive structure, which set back approximately 2.2 billion dollars to construct, encompasses a casino, a high-end hotel, lavish apartments, and premium dining establishments within it.

During the fifth season of Married At First Sight, Dean gained widespread recognition due to his affair with Davina Rankin while married to Tracey Jewel.

He has since made headlines for his controversial and outspoken views. 

In the month of February 2023, he posted a manipulated advertisement flyer on Instagram, promoting a show by the Sydney-based drag queen, Charisma Belle, scheduled to take place at Manly Library, open to kids aged as little as three years old.

Dean modified the initial poster, incorporating an irrelevant picture sourced from Charisma’s Instagram account, which depicted the artist posing in a suggestive manner with her legs apart.

He added a commentary that criticized the event, calling drag shows “naturally sexual” – which ignited strong opposition from critics.
