Controversial influencer Sopha Dopha’s mystery boyfriend revealed – after months of speculation as to why she always cropped him out of photos

Social media sensation, Sophia Begg (also known as Sopha Dopha), recently marked her 21st birthday with an extravagant bash held on Sydney Harbour.

During the course of the day, Sophia was frequently spotted sharing affectionate moments with a secret boyfriend whom she’s been in a relationship with for approximately one year.

This unseen TikTok personality, boasting a massive following of 1.3 million, hasn’t revealed their face yet. Instead, they share their partner’s voice from behind the scenes or present images on Instagram where his head is either cropped out or hidden under their hand.

In December, Sophia shared numerous posts on her social media platforms, capturing moments from her birthday party. Unknowingly, she disclosed the identity of her former high school boyfriend.

Daily Mail Australia has uncovered that the man mystery surrounding Sophia is none other than Simon Collis, a former classmate from Terrigal High School, whom she later attended St. Joseph’s Catholic College in East Gosford with.

21-year-old Simon maintains a personal Instagram account, boasting 443 followers, where he’s only posted 11 times so far. His profile picture features an adorable selfie of him and his partner in his room.

Simon hails from a tightly bonded family structure, making him the youngest among three siblings – an elder brother and an elder sister.

The scene shows Simon spending time with his family, unwinding and later dancing with them on a hired yacht. Additionally, Sophia’s friends, dressed in revealing outfits, can also be spotted.

A family friend commented that it seemed like a fantastic birthday celebration. They’re still curious to find out who ‘S’ is, hinting at Simon.

The young couple appear to be smitten, with Sophia also commenting on Simon’s dad’s posts.  

Last April, it was Simon’s 21st birthday that he celebrated himself. Andy made a heartfelt post on Instagram for his son, saying: ‘Today marks the birthday of our youngest child: Simon is now 21! I adore you, my son – more than words can express. Wish you a fantastic birthday. X.’

Although it’s not clear what job Simon has, we do know that the entire Collis family goes on an annual trip to help out at Kirsten Jade Children’s Rescue Center in Thailand, a home for around 50 children located in Chiang Mai.

Simon and Tom appear to be continuing this work, with Tom sharing a GoFundMe online. 

It could well be that Simon, with minimal to no social media activity of his own, might feel uncomfortable being exposed to Sophia’s Generation Z audience for scrutiny or evaluation against her former celebrity boyfriend who is an influencer.

For several months now, her most devoted fans have revealed and circulated his name, but the TikToker has remained silent about why she hasn’t disclosed her boyfriend’s identity publicly on social media.

In June, she uploaded a video on TikTok that seemed critical of her former partner, Jordan Menadue (known from Fitzroy Garage Sesh), and also expressed frustration towards an unidentified ex.

In a recently removed TikTok post, the influencer penned: ‘Now that I’m no longer shouldering all the expenses, I’ve established my own business, acquired my desired vehicle, and invested in real estate.’

The video elicited varied reactions, as some supporters criticized Sophia for boasting about being a property owner and for making jabs at her former partner while in a fresh romance with Simon.

Jordan remarked, ‘I find it quite astonishing that these discussions/media have persisted for such a lengthy period without any input from me.’ His video, which garnered over 644K views, was the platform where he made this statement.

Sophia promptly responded to her mutual friend’s comment that acknowledged Jordan as a wonderful person.

“Recall the time we dined together in Melbourne when you advised against dating him? It appears that many Melburnians don’t appreciate him.

   

Amidst the escalating chaos on social media platforms, detective-like individuals started capturing and circulating juicy tidbits within a well-known “Tea Time” Facebook community.

A few days after, the beleaguered internet personality had to refute allegations about her rudeness towards DJ Maddy Spencer at the TikTok Awards.

Several months out from her 17th birthday, Sophia posted her first video to TikTok.  

During an interview with Stellar magazine, the influencer shared that a prolonged battle with glandular fever in her Year 12 year significantly impacted her HSC grades and long-held ambition of pursuing a career as a doctor.
