Controversial Big Brother Australia star is evicted leaving behind a broken-hearted housemate – but fans of the show are thrilled

Holly Young, a contestant on Big Brother who sparked a lot of debate, was eliminated from the show during Sunday’s final eviction.

The audience at Dreamworld cheered, but inside the house, the evicted model was emotional, sharing hugs and kisses with her fellow housemates after the public vote.

While on the reality show for five weeks, the star had a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Colin, who is 21 years old, and she discussed it when she left the show.

‘It really is an unforgettable experience,’ she told host Mel Tracina.

Admitting she was ‘shaking’ with emotion, Holly continued:

Okay, so it was way more challenging than I ever imagined, but honestly, something amazing happened because of it. I just know you all get what I mean – you understand what I’m talking about, right? It’s…it’s everything!

‘So I’m wishing him [Colin] all the very best.’

Elsewhere in the chat, Holly described her Big Brother experience as ‘one hell of a ride’. 

She was thrilled to reach the finals, admitting she hadn’t expected to get that far. ‘I’m so proud of how far I’ve come,’ she said excitedly.

To show her support, Holly made Colin the final Head of House, which means he’s protected from being nominated for eviction this week.

Meanwhile, Bruce, Conor and Vinnie remain in the house after facing eviction. 

During the show, Abiola surprisingly chose to leave, even though she wasn’t nominated for eviction. She had just won $15,000 in a competition.

Holly caused a lot of discussion online while she was on the show, as many viewers criticized her relationship with her significantly younger partner, questioning whether it was real.

And predictably, Holly’s departure from the Big Brother house was met with glee from many.

‘Don’t cry Colin. Holly’s probably forgotten about you already,’ one keyboard warrior posted on X.

‘The cheers when Holly’s name was announced at Dreamworld. Priceless,’ added another user.  

Another viewer commented, suggesting Colin might finally start interacting with his remaining housemates now that Holly has left.

A fourth Big Brother fan left no doubt about where they stood with the latest eviction:

‘Holly is out? THANK GOD!’ 

This follows accusations from viewers that Holly was using Colin to remain on the show, sparked by a video revealing a change in her behavior when she realized she was being filmed.

After the video was shared on TikTok, many fans commented, noticing Holly’s strategies during the show.

One viewer commented, ‘Couples make it to the end. Smart move!’ suggesting a houseguest was faking a relationship to improve their chances of winning Big Brother.

Another fan added: ‘She is playing for the cameras.’

Someone else predicted she wouldn’t succeed because it was obvious the situation wasn’t real.

Other viewers took pity on Colin, accusing Holly of ‘using him’ to get ahead.

One upset fan accused Holly of taking advantage of Colin, writing that she was ‘a mess’ and ‘using him.’ Another simply urged her to stop hurting his feelings.
