Controversial bidder Adrian Portelli reveals the one condition that could lure him back to The Block after he bid farewell to show

As a die-hard Block fan who has been glued to my screen every season since its inception, I must admit that Adrian “Mr Lambo” Portelli has truly taken my obsession to new heights. His larger-than-life personality and lavish spending have made him the talk of the town, and his recent announcement of retiring from The Block has left me heartbroken!

As a devoted fan, I share that Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli, known for stirring up controversy, has chosen to leave our beloved show permanently following this coming Sunday’s exhilarating final episode.

Currently, the 35-year-old individual has shared a key stipulation that might tempt him to rejoin the Channel Nine program.

In a chat on A Current Affair on Monday evening, the wealthy entrepreneur playfully suggested he might reappear if a specific term was met.

As for me, if I don’t hear the nickname “Mr Lambo” ever again, I assure you that I’ll return to The Block. This is what I shared with Seb Costello, and let it be known that my departure from the show is permanent.

‘I’m 100 per cent done,’ he added.

2022 saw Portelli making quite an entrance at Omar and Oz’s auction, cruising up in a bright yellow Lamborghini – a move that instantly earned him the moniker “Mr. Lambo.

On the final episode of Channel Nine’s show, held on Sunday night, he created history by purchasing all Block homes on Phillip Island for an astonishing $15.03 million.

He’s unveiled his plans to distribute all the properties, as part of a grand ‘resort sweepstakes’, via his LMCT+ lottery enterprise.

In a change of leadership, here comes a fresh start for Portelli town! As your mayor, I am thrilled to share an unprecedented news. Let’s gift away an extraordinary resort to our beloved community! This is the exciting announcement I made on Facebook.

1 Chance to Win – 1 Grand Prize at Stake – The Lucky Winner Gets the Entire Resort or an Instant Tax-Free $8,000,000 Cash Alternative! The fun starts now.

With the announcement came a picture showing Portelli standing next to one of his luxury vehicles, nestled within the newly-acquired Block complex.

With a broad grin on his face, he casually rested against his car, brandishing an LMCT+ flag boasting an ingeniously crafted “No Vacancy” emblem.

The ‘rewards club’ Portelli has made his billions from sees his customers pay for different tiers of membership to receive a number of entries in luxury giveaways.

Over the past three seasons, I’ve been acquiring Block homes and distributing them via raffles, as a committed enthusiast.

He confessed to The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday morning that he doesn’t even like Phillip Island and that is why he will be giving all five properties, packaged as a ‘resort’, away in the raffle.

The shock admission came when host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson asked the entrepreneur: ‘So what are you going to do with all these houses, Adrian?’

Adrian said, “You know, I had been considering launching a resort of my own. But instead, I plan on gifting it to one of my valued customers.

Kyle Sandilands clarified, “He typically does this. Whenever he purchases these properties, he gifts them to one of his clients as part of a competition [LMCT+].

Adrian stated, “We’re giving these items out, and somebody will be lucky enough to take it home,” he added, expressing his thoughts about the filming location of The Block this season.

He expressed that he isn’t particularly fond of Philip Island, as it requires quite a long drive for him, and the effort of making that trip seems too tedious.

In simple terms, the final day of the auction turned out to be the most lucrative one ever for the show, with each team earning a staggering $5.43 million in earnings.

On the final day of the auction, Maddy and Charlotte Harry made history by being the youngest individuals ever to win, walking away with a staggering $1.65 million in earnings from their successful bid.

In the 2024 series, it was the newcomers, the two sisters, who clinched the highest offer on the specified day. Their remodeled Phillip Island estate fetched a sale price of $3.5 million.

Maddy, 24, and Charlotte, 22, also took home an extra $100,000 for their monumental victory.

Meanwhile, their co-stars also walked away from the auction pocketing millions thanks to Adrian.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that on the opening day of the auction, I had the pleasure of witnessing a remarkable triumph – the sale of my property for an astounding $3.3 million! Yes, you heard it right, this sale was no ordinary transaction; it was sealed with a billionaire buyer. What a way to start the day!

This sale gave the pair an incredible profit of $1.35million over their $1.95million reserve, instantly propelling them into The Block’s all-time high earners.

Apart from laughing, Kylie and Brad Baker also found themselves grinning as they deposited their earnings, thanks to a noteworthy acquisition by Adrian. This strategic move ensured that the duo officially owned a property worth a whopping 2.6 million dollars.

They left the show with a very healthy $650,000 profit on their property’s $1,950,000 reserve.

Kristian and Mimi had a tactical edge at the auction since they’d already negotiated a $50,000 discount on their minimum selling price.

In a whirlwind of offers, the couple managed to sell their property for $2.93 million to a buyer’s representative. This sale resulted in a substantial $1.03 million gain for them, thereby making them the second duo this season to instantly amass a million dollars.

Meanwhile, Ricky Recard and Haydn Wise appeared clearly disappointed upon drawing the fourth position in the auction, with Ricky referring to it as the “most unfavorable outcome.

However, Adrian once again came to the rescue, snapping up their home for $2.7million.

I’m thrilled to share that our recent sale successfully raked in an impressive sum of $750,000, catapulting us into the esteemed group of this season’s notable victors.
