In November, she addressed questions about her plans to depart the country following Donald Trump’s re-election.
The 63-year-old humorist shared a video on Instagram with the caption: “Am I departing from the U.S.?” followed by her clarification that she is not actually leaving the United States, despite enduring four years under a Trump administration.
She explained that she often replies to various comments she receives, but sometimes her team advises her against reading them. In a light-hearted manner, she added a joke: “You know, sometimes I do read the comments, and sometimes my team tells me not to!
‘I’m not leaving the country alright, I never said that I was,’ she continued.
I’ve never been a celebrity who makes such statements as, “If Trump gets reelected, I’ll leave the country and go somewhere else to do something,” regardless of whether they are A-list or D-list.
The actress added that ‘obviously’ she didn’t want Trump to win.
‘I tussled with him seven years ago, and I prevailed,’ she quipped.
However, I currently have someone knocking at my door, so please do not approach me or engage in discussions such as, “You ought to be terrified, Kathy,” or “It’s time for you to pack your bags.” This is what she communicated to her audience.

Griffin’s recent posts have been swamped by internet users mocking her, saying things like “I thought you were leaving the country?” following Trump’s victory. One commenter even suggested she should depart America.
Another wrote, ‘What country are you moving to?!’
A third individual remarked, ‘I hope she doesn’t disclose her new location as they might seal the border and prevent her entry. It seems to me that she should have to cross the border secretly, much like she advocates for people entering our nation unlawfully.’
Griffin openly expressed her dislike for Trump, and she was one of the famous personalities who rejoiced at his conviction in the hush money trial that took place in May.
She expressed that she was shedding tears of joy following the verdict, and additionally, she expressed gratitude towards Stormy Daniels for her testimony during the trial.
As a dedicated follower, I can express that the core allegations revolve around payments made to my former attorney, Michael Cohen, who received $130,000 as repayment for a confidential settlement he arranged with a porn actor. This settlement was meant to prevent her from disclosing her account of a 2006 private encounter between us.
According to prosecutors, they claim these repayments were incorrectly recorded as ‘legal fees’, concealing the actual character of the financial activities.
The offenses Trump is accused of could lead to imprisonment for as long as four years. However, he has firmly maintained his innocence and pleaded ‘not guilty’.
2017 saw actress Griffin being barred from flying for two months due to a federal investigation by the Department of Justice, following her sharing an image deemed offensive, which depicted her holding a mock Trump decapitated head.
2019 saw her disclose that she’s encountered multiple threats and had an encounter with a man wielding a knife following her 2017 prank, which led to her being shunned in Hollywood.
At first, Griffin expressed regret over the prank, but later retracted that apology. Now, Griffin maintains the authenticity of the image and asserts that it represents freedom of expression.
‘You can be as offended by that photo all you want, that doesn’t bother me at all,’ she said.
I just want to make it clear that I haven’t broken any laws. Just as taking a picture doesn’t violate any regulations.
