Conor Maynard has shared details about a challenging health issue that’s delayed his latest music releases, causing him intense discomfort.
32-year-old artist known for his hit “Can’t Say No” explained on Monday the reason behind releasing his song “Runaway Man” in May and subsequently staying out of the spotlight.
After revealing in February that he had been taken to the hospital due to a fall at home, Conor has since stepped away from public view.
He shared with his Instagram audience: “I wanted to clarify the reason behind my recent silence on social media and the unexpected change in my music release schedule. Originally, I had planned to share a series of new songs with you all, but instead, I released one song in May and then took a break. This isn’t what you expected, I know.
‘Earlier this year, I mentioned that I was having trouble with my back. Since then, it’s turned out to be quite an adventure.’
In my update, there was an accompanying image showing a star being transported on a stretcher by medical professionals, as well as another shot capturing a cannula inserted into his arm.

Conor mentioned that even though he aimed to put out fresh tunes and sought help from a chiropractor for his persistent back pain, there was no change or improvement.
Over the weekend, things worsened significantly as he found himself writhing in agony due to the severe pain in his back.
He went on saying, “Subsequently, I drained all the color from my complexion, causing my girlfriend great alarm. We ended up dialing for an ambulance, and as a result, I was rushed to the hospital.
As a die-hard fan, I find it frustrating when faced with injuries of this nature. There seems to be little immediate action other than trying to alleviate the discomfort, followed by a longer journey towards healing.
‘Right now it’s looking like surgery is the only option but obviously that’s kind of scary.’
Conor added: ‘It really has affected by life in so many ways.
‘Creating music videos is extremely challenging for me because I’m not physically able to manipulate or reposition my light setups. Even lifting a camera overhead is simply too much weight.’
Following the disclosure that he suffers from a herniated disc in his spine, Conor, who is seen with his partner Kitty Bertrand, indicated that his road to recovery will be lengthy. However, he expressed optimism about unveiling new music as quickly as possible.

The singer’s health troubles are not the only battle he has recently faced.
He found himself involved in a controversy surrounding paternity claims when Charlotte Chilton, a popular actress from “The Traitors,” declared on Instagram that he might be the father of her child Penelope following a single night encounter.
However, a subsequent DNA test confirmed in March that he was not the child’s father.
Later, Conor made an appearance on This Morning to discuss how the paternity scandal affected him, following Charlotte’s statement expressing her doubts about the test results.
He stated: ‘I was immediately labeled as a negligent father. All my social media posts revolved around this topic.’
Conor added: ‘Mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life.
‘And this year has been up there with my battle with it.’
