Conclave leads the BAFTA Film Awards 2025 nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has unveiled the nominees for this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards, with the ceremony happening on February 16th this coming Sunday.

In this contest, Conclave is at the front with 12 nominations, and Emilia Pérez from Netflix, which had 15 initial mentions, follows closely with 11 nominations.

In the end, “The Brutalist” received nine nominations, while “Anora,” “Dune: Part Two,” and “Wicked” each secured seven nominations.

This month, it was revealed that the 2025 EE BAFTA Rising Star Award, which is the only one chosen by the public, will feature a competition among David Jonsson, Marisa Abela, Mikey Madison, Jharrel Jerome, and Nabhaan Rizwan.

2025’s event will once more find David Tennant as its host, marking his second consecutive year in this role. Today, on January 15th, the nominees were revealed by Will Sharpe and Mia McKenna-Bruce.
