Compelling British drama packed with plot twists releases first-look trailer for returning season
The former spouse is set to make a comeback for another round on Paramount+, as a fresh trailer hints at the adventures of the characters since the shocking conclusion of the previous season.
Starting April 10, a British thriller will be available for streaming, offering a sneak peek into its plot. The teaser focuses on the character of Tasha, portrayed by Céline Buckens, who starred in Showtrial. In the series, we find Tasha rebuilding her life with her daughter in Cyprus.
Following the intense car accident at the end of season one, Tasha has been staying undercover with Emily, now known as Lucy, taking on occasional cleaning tasks and keeping a low profile away from Jack (Tom Mison).

When he’s released from prison after causing the accident, Jack learns Emily is very much alive.
He determinedly seeks them both, Tasha and her mother, even though his former spouse Jen (played by Katie McGrath, taking over from Janet Montgomery), implores that they prefer not to be located.
While Tasha is dozing off with a watchful glimmer in her eye, it doesn’t entirely come as a shock to her when her close companion, Sam (Jordan Stephens), reveals that Jack has been released from prison.
The email sets Tasha in motion, with the woman trying to fly under the radar before he finds them.
In the trailer, we find Jack making a stop in Cyprus for a secret assignment aimed at locating Tasha and Emily. In one instance, he exhibits a photograph to nearby residents, hoping to glean information about his wife’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Tasha vows to protect her daughter with everything she’s got.
In one instance, she expresses that she can no longer continue fleeing; instead, she needs to prepare herself. Later on, she declares her determination to be the one who brings it to an end.
The second season of “The Ex-Wife” will start streaming on Paramount+ from April 10. You can also watch season 1 on the same platform right now.
