Commandos: Origins Deployed to Xbox Game Pass Today with 2-Player Co-Op

Today marks the release of “Commandos: Origins,” a throwback to the strategic roots of this franchise, as the iconic team of six Commandos are brought back for a prequel tale in their stealth-oriented missions.

According to Claymore Games Studio Director Jürgen Reusswig, “The launch of Commandos: Origins brings players back to where it all started, allowing them to personally witness the formation and evolution of this iconic team that was once depicted in our classic games.

Here’s where the journey begins! We can’t wait for you, our players, to experience the roots of this famous team, all while helping us enhance the game even more by listening to your valuable input from the community.

In the role of Thomas ‘The Sapper’ Hancock, you will gather a team of courageous soldiers during World War II, embarking on fourteen missions that trace the squad’s initial battles and the hardships they encountered. Along the way, you’ll uncover the friendships formed among them as they progress towards becoming an elite combat unit.

To successfully navigate the dangerous battlegrounds, you must strategically choose your moves, leveraging the distinct skills and talents of each Commando. Plus, you can play cooperatively with another player on the same screen, adding an extra layer of excitement!

The game titled Commandos: Origins has been released for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. It’s also accessible through Game Pass. A version for Xbox One and PS4 will be out later this year, with a physical edition hitting stores in select regions on May 22nd.
