Comedian Joanne McNally is rumored to be joining the cast of the next season of The Celebrity Traitors.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing that this 42-year-old comedian is on the shortlist for a really exciting project! They’re looking to build a cast of major stars, and he’s definitely one of the names they’re considering.
Joanne co-hosts the podcast ‘My Therapist Ghosted Me’ with her close friend Vogue Williams and frequently appears on television in both the UK and Ireland.
She’s been on TV shows like Taskmaster, where she came in second place on Series 17, as well as The Big Fat Quiz of Everything and The Jonathan Ross Show.
According to The Sun, Joanne’s popular podcast and large social media presence could attract younger viewers who previously weren’t interested in traditional BBC shows.
People like Joanne represent the connection between traditional and modern media. She’s also very funny, and her humor comes from her experiences as a single woman dating – a topic that especially resonates with younger audiences.
Daily Mail has contacted Joanne’s representatives for comment.
The second season of the reality spin-off will begin filming in May in the Scottish Highlands. Claudia Winkleman, age 54, will return as host, filming at the historic Ardross Castle.
Sources say David Mitchell and Steve Pemberton are likely to appear in the next season of The Celebrity Traitors.
Steve, 58, known for his role in ‘League Of Gentlemen’, has reportedly been discussing a potential return to the show since he publicly shared his enthusiasm for it when it premiered in 2022.
According to a source at the TV network, bringing Steve on board would give them a celebrity contestant who’s fascinated by how the show is made.
Jonathan Ross previously hosted this role, and as a dedicated fan, he became a key figure on the show.
I’ve always been amazed by Steve’s acting – he’s won awards for his ability to completely become different characters. Honestly, I think that talent would make him a really tough competitor if he ever joined the game; the other players would have a seriously hard time going up against him.
Amanda Holden is another name being touted after her best pal Alan won the 2025 run of the show.
She initially encouraged a talkative man to register for the program, and now reportedly wants to participate herself.
Amanda will have a hard time scheduling filming because she’s busy with both Britain’s Got Talent and her radio show.
According to a source, filming for The Celebrity Traitors and the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent often happen at the same time. The Celebrity Traitors is filmed in the Scottish Highlands, while BGT’s semi-finals are filmed live in London on Saturday nights.
She might be able to get some time off, but it wouldn’t mean she could stop working on other things entirely.
Sources say Alison Hammond is being considered to join the next season of The Celebrity Traitors on the BBC.
According to The Sun, the 51-year-old ITV presenter is eager to join the show, and BBC executives think she’d be hilarious.
A source told the publication: ‘The Beeb thinks she could be comedy gold, just like Alan Carr.
‘The pot of talent wanting to take part is overflowing, so they have a lot to weigh up.’
While contracts aren’t expected to be finalized until later this year, there’s a strong desire for her to sign them soon.
Other famous faces, including Danny Dyer and Ruth Jones from Gavin & Stacey, are also reportedly considering appearing on the show.
A BBC spokesperson said they don’t comment on rumors, but information about the next season of The Celebrity Traitors will be shared soon.
Claudia hosts a thrilling game of deception that has been popular with viewers ever since it first aired in 2022.
Alan won the first season of The Traitor, successfully hiding his identity from the other contestants the entire time.
The final episode of the show drew an average of 11.1 million viewers, as Alan, age 49, successfully tricked Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga into thinking he was one of the ‘Faithful’ players.
The show attracted 12 million viewers at its peak, making it the BBC’s most-watched program overnight since the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special aired last year.
People were amazed and confused when Alan won the £87,500 prize, especially since he’d previously said he was just as likely to be a Traitor as Linda Rands from season three.
Alan unexpectedly won after Nick, 45, and David, 56, surprisingly switched their support away from Joe Marler at the very last moment, leaving viewers stunned.
Even though Joe, 35, accurately identified Alan and Cat Burns, 25, as the Traitors, he couldn’t persuade the other players and was unexpectedly voted out right before the end.
