As a long-time fan of gripping crime dramas, I can confidently say that Colter Shaw in Tracker is a breath of fresh air. While he may be a professional finder, it’s clear that his heart lies in helping people and animals alike. In the latest episode, we saw this compassionate side of him when he took on the mission to find a lost dog.
It’s no secret that Colter Shaw isn’t merely a person-finder for monetary gain; he also has a heartfelt desire to aid others. This compassion is evident in the seventh episode of Tracker season 2.
Indeed, Colter works for financial compensation, which allows him to maintain his way of life. Unlike the Winchesters in Supernatural, he doesn’t rely on dishonest methods like using fake credit cards or scrounging for money. Yet, it’s crucial to note that he’s not merely motivated by money. He’s not a mercenary who would cater to the highest bidder without principle.
Not only did we witness this, but it also applied when the horse arrived. His compassion extends to both people and creatures, and now he embarks on a journey to find another creature.
Colter finds and loses a dog in Tracker season 2, episode 7
When Colter discovers a stray dog at a gas station, it seems as though he takes pleasure in performing a kind act. However, this particular dog refuses to stay in Colter’s vehicle. The dog isn’t running away on its own; rather, someone else removes the dog from Colter’s truck, not an option Colter would consider.
Could someone be after the dog for a reason other than a reward? It’s conceivable, but Colter discovers a family who are bound. This indicates that the dog might have been taken for some other purpose. Perhaps it’s a means to escalate the ransom demand, or maybe it’s because the dog is of an unusual breed that the thief can profit from by selling.
Regardless of the circumstances, Colter is determined to solve the mystery of the missing family pet. He’s committed to tracking down “the dog,” no matter how unconventional his approach might seem.
The tracker should abide by the principle of not causing any harm to the dog. Unlike many other shows, we won’t resort to ending the life of a dog. Rest assured, we’ll keep a close eye on its journey to see how things unfold for the dog!
