Country music sensation Colt Ford is sharing details about the two instances of heart attacks he experienced, which came dangerously close to claiming his life.
In the first week of April, as I wrapped up my performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona (hailing from Athens, Georgia and known as Jason Farris Brown), I unexpectedly experienced a heart attack.
He was quickly taken to the Critical Care Department at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, for medical attention.
About a month ago in May, Ford disclosed that he had technically died twice. He further acknowledged that he wasn’t entirely free from danger yet, stating he wasn’t ‘completely out of the woods.’
Approximately a year since the event, Ford is sharing insights into his healing journey in a fresh conversation with Fox News.
Following two instances where I was declared clinically deceased and spent eight days unconscious, Ford interpreted this experience as a divine message.

In a recent interview, Ford expressed that it feels like a divine message suggesting he should take some time to observe and fully focus on his surroundings.
He mentioned, “I believe I should find a way to make the best out of this situation, regardless of what it is. It’s not common for people to get a second chance like this. That’s not how things usually go.
He expressed gratitude, recognizing the value of certain items more deeply now, which subtly shifted his perspective.
Ford added that the two-time near-death experience has been, ‘pretty profound, for sure.’
He pointed out, “This experience helps you understand that certain things you believed were significant in your life, things you may have pursued vigorously when you were younger… well, it turns out they might not hold as much importance as you once thought.
He’s typically the dominant type, but after waking up from a coma, he found himself unable to even eat ice from a foam cup. It’s quite a humbling experience for him, he acknowledged.
When inquired about any signs preceding his hospitalization, Ford acknowledged, ‘It seemed like a sort of ideal convergence of factors for me.’
He’d been embarking on a weight-loss adventure prior to this point. Known for his large size, he was actively trying to slim down, and had already lost a significant amount.

Ford confessed, “That’s what I had told everyone about myself. When you said, ‘Colt’s doing well,’ you should verify it since you might not be aware of the situation.
He stated, “Those who are healthy or haven’t experienced this before, they can’t comprehend it, as I didn’t either. This incident occurred on April 4. I regained consciousness eight days later.” Furthermore, he mentioned that he and his wife Megan had initially planned to attend the Kentucky Derby a month after the event.
In a playful manner, Ford said, “I’ll suggest we still go, darling,” to which she responded, “But you won’t even be finished by that time.” He was making a jest about their plans.
After his heart attack, he mentioned that he significantly reduced his intake of fried foods. Furthermore, he shared that he had successfully overcome many cravings for these types of foods and no longer felt the desire to consume them.
