Colman Domingo is joining the cast of the upcoming movie Wicked: For Good as the Cowardly Lion. But before that, he’s appearing in The Running Man, where he plays Bobby T, a lively and energetic TV host whose main goal is to entertain the show’s viewers.
This new film isn’t a remake of the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie. Instead, it’s based on Stephen King’s original story, which explains why the character of Bobby T is quite different from Damon Killian, who played the host in the earlier film.
Domingo recently told Digital Spy at the UK premiere of The Running Man that he based his character, Bobby T., on the well-known American talk show host, Jerry Springer.

Viewers are praising The Running Man as everything they hoped for and even better. One reviewer called it action-packed, moving, and a perfect showcase for Glen Powell, while another simply described it as a crowd-pleasing film.
The Running Man is released in UK cinemas on 12 November and in US cinemas on 14 November.
