Colleen Hoover’s Shocking Instagram Clean-Up Amidst Hollywood Drama!
It’s being discussed that Colleen Hoover might be worried about her upcoming projects due to a heated legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over her debut film adaptation, which could potentially impact the casting for her next movie.
Last week, the well-known author, aged 45, removed actress Blake Lively, who’s also 37, from her Instagram account. She made this move along with a statement praising the actress as ‘sincere, considerate, helpful, and patient.’ This action came after the author had discreetly reactivated her Instagram account amidst the dramatic aftermath.
According to reports, Anne Hathaway was contemplating her decision to withdraw from the upcoming adaptation of Hoover’s 2018 psychological thriller “Verity,” due to some ongoing issues.
Currently, sources close to the situation have revealed to DailyMail.com that Hoover is apprehensive about the potential repercussions for ongoing ventures and worries that it might negatively affect upcoming business opportunities.
The author saw immense success with “It Ends with Us,” raking in an astounding $50 million during its initial weekend release in August, and subsequently accumulating a staggering global box office revenue of $350 million to date.
An insider at DailyMail.com reported that Colleen cleaned up her social media profiles to ensure that the ongoing situation wouldn’t affect any upcoming movie contracts she might have or be negotiating.

Indeed, I found myself in a quandary when the buzz surrounding “It Ends with Us” reached its peak. I am well aware that such a situation could potentially impact Colleen’s business endeavors significantly. Consequently, it is my choice to remain impartial and refrain from taking sides in this matter.
As a devoted fan, I’ve always been there for Blake throughout ‘It Ends with Us’, offering my unwavering support and forming a deep bond with him. However, it’s important to note that my friendship with Justin predates this connection by quite some time.
Prior to assuming the directorial role for “It Ends with Us”, Hoover and Baldoni were already friends.
According to another source, the movie version wouldn’t exist without Colleen’s friendship with Justin. It was Justin who, on his own, wanted the film to strictly follow the book.
Indeed, Colleen may not have entirely endorsed the alterations, yet she chose to remain passive and observe. In the long run, she plans to disassociate herself from it, and rightly so. Notably, she pens the narratives that captivate audiences on the silver screen.
By the close of the day, Colleen remains on good terms with Justin. However, she no longer communicates with Blake. Some individuals perceive her as having compromised her values, given that she hasn’t taken a clear stance in this situation.
Concerning Hathaway, it was noted that Colleen would discourage actors from avoiding roles in her adaptations due to the current drama. This is an additional reason why she chooses not to participate herself.
In November, it was revealed that Hathaway would take on the lead role in ‘Verity’. This announcement came a month prior to when Lively submitted a California civil rights claim and later a federal lawsuit, alleging that Baldoni had subjected her to sexual harassment and masterminded a defamation campaign against her.

Soon followed a 4,000-word New York Times expose based on many of her claims.
In the previous month, Baldoni and his film studio, Wayfarer Studios, retaliated by filing a strong lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds. They alleged that their group had been trying to sabotage Baldoni’s career, and they demanded $400 million in compensation as part of this legal action.
The lawsuit claims that Lively and Reynolds allegedly misused their considerable influence to unfairly take a complete movie away from its original director and production team.
In the documents he submitted, Baldoni asserted that after being let go by his talent agency WME, he discovered that Sony backed Lively’s requests and even mandated that neither he nor the editors were allowed to see “her final edit.
All parties have denied the allegations against them.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I can confidently share that it’s widely speculated that by the time of the global gathering known as Book Bonanza – an exciting event for authors and book enthusiasts held annually in Texas during June – in 2024, Lively had assumed creative control over the film.
In a communication to his publicist Jen Abel that month, as stated in the court document, Baldoni expressed: ‘She’s formally dismissed me from the film now. She’s wrapping up everything. I can no longer participate. Music, visual effects, everything. Somehow, I’ll manage to get through this.’
By July 2024, he alleges he was completely locked out of the film’s final cut.

Since then, Baldoni’s group has established a site detailing the court case, featuring various pieces of proof, such as an assembly of emails exchanged between Hoover and Baldoni.
They showed how thrilled she was about Baldoni directing the film, expressing to him, “You’re exactly the right choice to bring this project to life.
In an email dated April 2019, it was stated: ‘I am confident in you. Your previous projects, coupled with your obvious dedication and compassion for mankind, genuinely lead me to believe that there is no more suitable individual for this task.’
It’s clear that your film expertise surpasses my own, and given the exceptional job you did adapting Five Feet Apart, I have full faith that you could bring this book to life in a way that reflects our shared vision.
After Lively filed her legal complaint against Baldoni, Hoover voiced support for the actress.
On that particular day, she posted on her Instagram Stories, “You’ve been sincere, compassionate, helpful, and understanding ever since we first crossed paths.” She expressed her gratitude for just being who you are. May you always remain unchanged, may you never fade away.
She has not addressed anything since.
Hoover’s Instagram account has been refreshed, eliminating any content related to Baldoni and Lively, such as pictures from the premiere event.
Now, her social media content mainly revolves around the upcoming film adaption of “Verity,” where Anne Hathaway takes on the title character, sharing screen time with Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett.
Her books Regretting You, and Reminders of Him have also been picked up for film adaptations.
