Colleen Hoover thriller Verity finally confirms 2026 release date

The upcoming adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s Verity has finally landed a release date.

The psychological thriller adaptation from the book written by the author of “It Ends With Us” is expected to hit movie theaters on May 15, 2026.

The story, titled “Verity,” revolves around a hard-up author named Lowen Ashleigh, who’s given the task of finishing off a book series previously written by Jeremy Crawford’s spouse, Verity Crawford – a successful writer who experienced an enigmatic mishap.

Lowen soon learns that a secret unfinished manuscript may reveal clues about the family’s past.

It has been officially announced that Anne Hathaway will take on the role of Verity, with Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, Ismael Cruz Cordóva, and Brady Wagner also joining the cast.

One of three upcoming film adaptations based on Colleen Hoover’s works is titled “Verity”. Additionally, her novels from 2019, “Regretting You”, and 2022’s “Reminders of Him” are also being developed for the big screen.

Exploring the poignant topic of loss, the story Regretting You delves into the aftermath of a heart-wrenching car accident that claims the lives of two family members, leaving the rest to grapple with their grief.

The upcoming movie directed by Josh Boone will feature Mckenna Grace from “The Handmaid’s Tale,” Allison Williams known for “M3GAN,” Scott Eastwood of “Fast X,” Dave Franco, and Mason Thames in its cast.

Simultaneously, “Reminders of Him” chronicles a young mother’s journey after a devastating mistake. This emotional tale follows her struggle to reform herself and seek redemption. The Universal synopsis characterizes it as an inspiring motion picture that explores themes of motherhood, forgiveness, and the extraordinary capacity of love to mend even the most fractured spirits.

Verity will arrive in cinemas on May 15, 2026.
