Coleen Rooney shows off her skills as she hits the indoor ski slopes in Manchester – after revealing how Wagatha Christie battle put a ‘strain’ on her marriage to Wayne

On Monday, Coleen Rooney displayed her remarkable abilities while skiing indoors in Manchester.

The woman with four children, aged 37, stood out in a vibrant pink coat and dark pants, swiftly making her way down the hill.

Wearing a black safety helmet, Coleen skillfully positioned herself on the skis. Later, she could be spotted getting onto a ski lift.

With a black safety helmet secured, Coleen gracefully adjusted her stance on the skis, and then she was observed boarding a ski lift.

It was clear that Colleen was enjoying herself immensely, letting loose while engaging in a relaxing pastime, despite being in a hectic phase due to the debut of her health and wellness product line.

Following her honest disclosure about the significant impact her legal conflict with longtime rival Rebekah Vardy had on her in 2022, she enjoyed a lively outing.

In a high-profile legal dispute, colloquially known as the “Wagatha Christie” case, the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) found themselves at odds over a £1.8 million lawsuit. The disagreement stemmed from Coleen’s claim that Rebekah’s Instagram account was spreading false information about her personal life to the media in 2019.

In a turn of events, Rebekah, aged 42, refuted the accusations and filed a lawsuit against Coleen for libel. Regrettably for Rebekah, the court case ended in favor of Coleen, making Rebekah financially responsible for covering a substantial portion of Coleen’s legal expenses totaling £1.5 million.

Colleen opened up on the Stick To Football podcast by SkyBet, sharing that a three-year period had put significant stress on her family life with husband Wayne, causing their relationship to grow tense.

She said: ‘It was the lowest I’d say I’ve ever been. I had no control over it and that was hard.

It was challenging for me when someone decided to take me to court over something I knew was correct, as I had to present my case and defend myself.

For what feels like an eternity, I’ve been utterly captivated, unable to shake off its grip. Each morning dawned with a silent plea, “Colleen, carry on as normal,” only for it to resurface again and again throughout the day.

Colleen added that she would grow short-tempered and feel anxious about Fridays, as she was expected to deal with extended conversations on the phone with lawyers.

In my own words, I’d express it as follows: “I found myself slipping away from my usual self, becoming rather short-tempered. Every Friday, the opposing legal team seemed to make a habit of reaching out just as the workweek was wrapping up, attempting to spoil my weekend by their last-minute phone calls.

They’d inform me about the current situation and suggest having a good weekend. This would prompt me to ruminate on various aspects, attempting to decipher what they might need or want.

At around 2 am, Wayne would typically settle down on the couch, ready to watch something, and later announce, “I think I’ll go to bed.

‘It put a strain on family life, friends. I wasn’t sociable and it stripped me.’

In another part of the podcast, Colleen disclosed that fans were shouting about her during soccer games when she was participating in “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Last year, the WAG competed in the ITV series, ultimately coming in second place behind Danny Jones from McFly.

Wayne, aged 39, had been managing Plymouth Argyle when he was in the jungle, but he has since been dismissed from his position.

She mentioned that he might have faced greater challenges than I have. Many people criticized him, which makes things difficult for him since he puts himself out there every week.

‘He told me while I was in the jungle he was getting chants about me all the time.’

Colleen confessed that she was taken aback by the response from spectators following her appearance on the program, which attracts millions of viewers every evening.

She mentioned: “The effect of being on I’m A Celebrity has been tremendous. I realized it was a popular program, but I never anticipated such high levels of curiosity about myself.

I’ve had experiences in the past, yet there are many who haven’t fully grasped or appreciated my character. Instead, they tend to pick out small aspects, failing to see the whole picture and treat me as less than a person. When under the public spotlight, it can be easy for people to overlook our common humanity.

In a candid moment, the star confessed her concern that she might have seemed dull during her time in the jungle. She even sought advice from her mother, asking for her impression after their reunion at the Australian bridge when she arrived.

Coleen mentioned that she continues to stay connected with her fellow I’m A Celebrity contestants, and their group chat is buzzing constantly.

Colleen and Wayne have been a couple since they were 16 years old and have five children – Kai (15), Klay (11), Kit (8), and the youngest, Cass (6).

Colleen expressed that she’s been a resilient individual throughout her life, emphasizing that she’s not the stereotypical princess type. She’s faced challenges head-on and persevered, adding that she and Wayne have supported each other through thick and thin, sharing experiences along the way.
