Coleen Rooney hobbles out of salon in an orthopedic boot after husband Wayne revealed she broke her foot during his wild 40th birthday celebrations

Coleen Rooney was seen leaving a beauty salon in Cheshire on Monday, still wearing a protective boot for her foot.

The 39-year-old wife of Wayne tripped and broke her foot while wearing heels at his lively 40th birthday party.

The retired footballer explained that, surprisingly, it was his wife, Coleen, who got hurt while dressed as Freddie Mercury – she tripped and fell while wearing high heels.

Coleen, known for being on I’m A Celebrity, looked relaxed and comfortable leaving the salon wearing a £70 Adanola jumper and black leggings. Her husband, Wayne, was waiting to pick her up in their Range Rover.

Coleen looked preoccupied as she chatted away on the phone while on the walk back to the car.  

Wayne recently shared a story about his 40th birthday party, where he hilariously dressed up as Freddie Mercury – and wore stilettos instead of his usual football boots!

The footballer was surprised by Coleen with a lavish weekend away with pals to the Cotswolds.

One night, there was a costume party where Wayne dressed up as Freddie Mercury. He perfectly recreated the singer’s famous look from the 1984 ‘I Want to Break Free’ music video, complete with heels and a leather skirt.

Despite successfully learning to walk in the high platform shoes and playfully imitating Freddie’s dance moves with a vacuum cleaner before hitting the karaoke stage, Coleen, known for her fashion sense, ironically tripped in her own heels and broke her foot.

On his podcast, The Wayne Rooney Show, Wayne Rooney recounted a fun night out where there was a fancy dress party. He went as Freddie Mercury, completing the look with high heels, a black leather skirt, a tight T-shirt, and surprisingly, a vacuum cleaner.

I was vacuuming, and thankfully I was still on my feet! But Colleen wasn’t so lucky – she tripped in her heels and broke her foot.

In March 2022, Coleen injured her foot at home and broke a bone near her little toe. She needed to wear a supportive boot, called an Aircast, for about six months to help it heal.

The boot became well-known after Coleen Rooney wore it every day during the ‘Wagatha Christie’ court case against Rebekah Vardy in May 2022.

Rebekah reportedly suggested in an interview that Coleen might be exaggerating her leg injury to gain public sympathy during the legal proceedings.

But the claim didn’t hold up when Coleen shared an X-ray of her broken foot online after taking off the boot in August 2022.
