Coleen Rooney and Husband Wayne Celebrate Son’s Birthday with Darts Themed Surprise
On his ninth birthday, which fell on a Friday, Coleen Rooney and her spouse, Wayne, astonished their son Kit by setting up a massive balloon decoration based on darts and a corresponding cake as a surprise.
38-year-old celebrity from I’m A Celeb and 39-year-old footballer, who share children Kai (age 15), Klay (age 11), and Cass (age 6), shared heartfelt posts on Instagram to celebrate the special day.
Kit grinned proudly, standing beside the grandiose balloons adorned with his name, along with dartboards and a large number 9.
On his special day, the birthday boy was additionally presented with a thematically designed cake, along with an impressive array of gifts neatly piled up next to him.
Colleen too posted old photos of her son over the years and commented: “Today Kit turns 9! So much love for you, enjoy your special day to the fullest!
While Wayne wrote: ‘Happy 9th Birthday Kit. We love you’.
This past month, as an utterly devoted darts enthusiast, I had the privilege of joining my family for the thrilling World Darts Championships held at London’s historic Alexandra Palace.
After an accidental spill of beer, Colleen found herself wet following the joyous celebration of Luke Littler’s remarkable victory over three-time champion Michael van Gerwen, alongside her boys.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself immersed among the throng at an exhilarating bash, my family and I included. We claimed our spots at extended dinner tables, eagerly awaiting the climactic finale, fingers crossed as we watched the tense conclusion unfold.
Colleen chose a stylish beige T-shirt featuring a blue and white striped edge, accessorizing it with a fashionable gold watch and understated gold earrings.
Eager to chronicle her evening, the WAG captured her friends on video, who joyfully bounced around upon learning that 17-year-old Luke had become the youngest world champion ever in his sport’s history.
However, an unexpected turn of events occurred when, in her enthusiasm, Colleen accidentally spilled beer on herself. A video posted on her Instagram showed her reacting loudly as the beer splashed onto her.
For a brief instant, her sudden loud shout startled her eight-year-old son, Kit, causing him to look around in astonishment, then return his gaze to whatever he was previously focused on.
In my own words, I expressed: “What an incredible evening we had! The little ones are still buzzing with excitement! Kudos to @lukethenukelittler.
She followed up with: ‘That’s me drenched in beer!’ accompanied by a laughing-so-hard emoji instead.
Later on, Luke, the victorious champ, enthusiastically reshared her post. His recent triumph had left him filled with joy.
In a captivating performance, the underdog, Little, managed to knock down three-time ex-champion Michael van Gerwen, who previously held the record as the youngest world title winner at 24 years old. With a stunning display of 12 maximum throws, he claimed an impressive victory with a score of 7-3.
At the same time, Wayne, Colleen’s spouse, extended his well wishes to the darts champ by posting a photo of Luke and one of his sons on social media.
Wayne penned: ‘What a night for the lads. Congratulations @lukethenukelittler. Unbelievable.’
This month, Colleen disclosed that her husband had started a new position following his dismissal from managing Plymouth Argyle.
However, the ex-Manchester United star’s latest job is quite different from the realm of football and entertainment industry.
At the unveiling of her Coleen Rooney x Applied Nutrition wellness line, Colleen disclosed that since his return to their £20million Cheshire residence, Wayne has been assigned the duty of driving the children to school.
At a recent event, Coleen shared that it’s wonderful having Wayne back home because they can both take turns with the school drop-off duties.
‘Wayne will drop off the kids at school for me, giving me enough time to go to the gym earlier in the day.’
Overjoyed by recent news whispers, I can hardly contain my excitement! Seems like the one and only Wayne is in negotiations to be part of Match of the Day’s insightful panel, come next football season. Oh, the anticipation!
In the seasons 2025-26 and 2026, Gary Lineker is set to carry on hosting the Men’s FA Cup matches and the 2026 World Cup events for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
It is stated by The Sun that Wayne aims to participate in the upcoming show, with Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, and Gabby Logan as hosts, potentially serving as a rotating panelist. Reports suggest he could earn approximately £200,000 yearly for his contributions to the program.
