Coleen Nolan reveals “insane” health struggle after receiving surprising diagnosis
Coleen Nolan has revealed her “insane” health struggle after getting an unexpected diagnosis.
On the Loose Women show on Tuesday, February 25th, the celebrity revealed that she discovered a skin rash towards the close of the previous year. Upon consulting with a dermatologist, it was confirmed that she has eczema.
She described her situation as follows: “My skin has been acting very abnormally… A harsh rash spread across my waistline, even reaching up to my shoulders. It was extremely painful and unbearably itchy. I found myself wondering, ‘What’s causing this?'” Eventually, after Linda passed away, she visited a dermatologist who confirmed that it was eczema.
As a fan, I’d put it this way: “I couldn’t believe it when Colleen shared that she’d never had eczema before. She exclaimed, ‘I’ve never experienced this skin issue in my life!’ It turns out her dermatologist told her stress could trigger these flare-ups.
I’ve been going through some rough times lately, just like Colleen. She parted ways with her partner of three years around December, and tragically, she lost her sister Linda Nolan to breast cancer in January. It’s tough, but we keep pressing on.
Coleen also shared her skin cancer diagnosis in 2023.
On Loose Women, Coleen shared memories of her discussion with her doctor. “They explained that it was a type of cancer which may not necessarily spread, but requires treatment. They suggested using cream first, then chemo cream, and if that fails, surgery to remove it followed by a skin graft,” she stated.
Later on, she provided followers with another update on Instagram, saying: “It turns out it’s precancerous, so I have to get treatment for it, but right now, everything is okay.
The following year, Coleen updated fans again after noticing a new dry patch of skin.
She shared that she previously had a type of cancer, specifically carcinoma, on her shoulder, which has since been resolved. To remove it, she underwent treatments involving chemotherapy cream, which resulted in the affected area burning off. However, she mentioned that she would soon be receiving treatment for another part of her body.
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
