Coleen Nolan Faces Heartbreak as She Celebrates 60th Birthday After Sister’s Tragic Death
I’m gearing up to mark my 60th birthday joyfully, despite the fact that it’s only eight weeks since my dear sister Linda passed away unexpectedly. I’m determinedly putting on a strong front in these challenging times.
The well-known star from Loose Women will celebrate a significant occasion on March 12 by hosting a family gathering, yet the joy of the day will be tinged with sadness as she misses her cherished brother who won’t be there.
On January 15, 2025, Linda, who had fought a 20-year long battle against breast cancer, sadly passed away at the age of 65 after contracting double pneumonia.
Colleen gained recognition together with her sisters Linda (age 71), Maureen (also 71), Anne (74), Denise (72), and the deceased Bernie, as part of the sensational pop band known as The Nolans.
According to the source, OK! reports that Coleen is celebrating a significant birthday, yet her thoughts are undoubtedly centered on her sister.
Colleen is deeply grieving over the loss of Linda, making this moment both joyous and sorrowful. It’s incredibly painful to realize that Linda will not be present with us.

TopMob have contacted Coleen’s reps for comment.
Last month, Coleen wrote a heartfelt birthday message for Linda, sharing her tribute on social media in honor of what would have been her sister’s 66th birthday.
The posted content featured a video of Colleen and her sister grooving together at a celebration, their mirth escalating as they demonstrated their dance skills.
She titled her post: “Thoughts for my lovely sister… I reflect on you every day, yet today – your birthday – you are particularly in my thoughts.
‘I miss you so much and life won’t be the same without you in it…’
On February 1st, Coleen’s loved ones, including her dear friends and family, came together for the funeral of her sister, Linda, which was held in Blackpool.
As she stepped into St. Paul’s Church in their hometown accompanied by her siblings Maureen, Anne, and Denise, the TV personality dabbed away tears using a tissue.
At the funeral, her sons Shane Junior, aged 36, and Jake, 32 years old, respectfully escorted their cherished aunt’s pink casket amidst the gathering.
Her sons, Shane Jr., who was 36, and Jake, aged 32, served as pallbearers at the funeral, reverently transporting their dear aunt’s pink coffin through the assembled crowd.

I, being one of the seven gentlemen from the Nolan family and our close circle, had the solemn duty of bearing the floral-adorned casket during our friend’s poignant farewell.
Shane also manned the door for his aunt while Denise read the eulogy.
Collen, clad in a sleek black fur-trimmed coat atop a matching dress, maintained a downcast gaze and struggled to suppress tears while walking among the assembled individuals offering tributes.
Four remaining Nolan sisters walked into the church, warmly greeted and applauded by friends and relatives who formed a line along the pathway.
Linda’s former brother-in-law Shane Richie cut a sombre figure as he arrived ahead of his ex-wife.
Shane, aged 60, who was wedded to Coleen (Linda’s sibling) from 1990 to 1999, was among the earliest to show up and express his condolences, concealing his gaze beneath a pair of brown-tinted sunglasses.
At the funeral, a number of notable individuals were present, such as Lisa Matthew – a Grammy-nominated vocalist from the ’00s band Milkshake; Tommy Canon, an accomplished actor; and Jodie Prenger, well-known for her role on Coronation Street.
Outside the church, the final Chuckle brother, Paul Harman Elliott (age 77), delivered a heartfelt eulogy for Linda.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but reflect on the profound impact of losing Linda, a beloved figure in the world of comedy. Her absence leaves an indelible void, casting a shadow over the world that once sparkled with her radiant energy and infectious laughter.
Reminiscing about our times together, I recall moments filled with joy, camaraderie, and shared passion for bringing laughter to others. We lived life to its fullest, cherishing every moment as a gift, and these memories will forever remain a beacon of light in my heart.

He called her a ‘fun bubbly person’ as he looked back on their 40 years of friendship.
Maureen, Anne, Denise, and Coleen, the remaining members of the Irish 80s pop group The Nolans, successfully collected £2,670 for Trinity Hospice.
Or simply:
The Nolan sisters from Ireland’s 80s pop scene have raised £2,670 for Trinity Hospice, comprising Maureen, Anne, Denise, and Coleen.
10:30 AM marked the start of the funeral ceremony, taking place in the very same church located on Honister Avenue – the same venue where Linda exchanged vows with her cherished spouse, Brian Hudson, back in 1981 during their wedding.
She conducted Brian’s funeral, following his passing due to skin cancer in 2007 at the age of 60, within the confines of the church.
A private service followed at a crematorium nearby, with Linda laid to rest with Brian’s ashes.
Earlier, Colleen elaborated that they had chosen Linda’s final resting spot, sharing with The Mirror, “Upon her death, my immediate thought was to combine Brian’s ashes with Linda’s.
‘So that’s what we’re doing. In life they were never apart, so I’m glad they’ll be together again.’
